I wanted to dread my hair about 10 years ago. Never did it cause I've always had a problem with dermatitis and dandruff, so l never proceeded to go doen that road. Your dreads look amazing.
Wow, these are some impressive dreadlocks. I've just started, and I love the process. I've gone the route of semi freeform. I sectioned and created the dreads, but now I'm just leaving them alone, aside from washing once a week. My hair is on my shoulders, so the shrinking will be interesting. I've not done mine for the look of them. It's a personal inward journey for me.😊
@@Dianevan. hey, thanks so much for sharing. I hope your journey goes well. It can be a rewarding and healing process, for sure. Thanks for watching! :)
Love your dreadication! It's always a pleasure seeing a fresh dread report. I've been binging them this past year, and it's so disappointing every time I go to people's channels and find that they've cut off their magnificent locs! I remember seeing your previous report, and I'm glad you're still rocking them. I'm closing in on 11 months on my freeform journey, starting from long hair. Beginning to enjoy them now that they're all "in" and only have maturing left to do. With my own dreads, I see a stark difference between the long hair that's shrunk to dreads, and the new growth that grows directly into the dreadlock. I have already cut off some of the shrunk parts, because they were either ugly or actually problematic in terms of retaining water. Looking forward to when I can cut off all the original length and only have pristine dread left.
Thank you for this. I’ve had 3 sets of neglect freeforms dreads and yes it teaches you so much patience. Such a beautiful lesson. I’ve been shaving my head about every 2 weeks since my last set for around 4 months now. I’ve documented the whole journey around two years ago from when I shaved my head to regrow them. My 3rd set weren’t as visual pleasing as my second but the timing perfectly lands when I started documenting my third set of locks If that makes any sense hahaha I’m excited to grow them out for allot longer then 3 years. Which is typically when I end up chopping them 🧡
Question, when wahsing your scalp are you getting your locks wet still? If not.....how do you do it? Asking because it takes me like 3 hours to dry my locks 😂
@@justinalvares Hey! I don’t recommend getting your dreads wet when washing your scalp. Basically, you can tie your hair up in a bun and put it off to one side to wash the scalp without getting your dreads wet. Then, adjust the bun to the other side to wash any other parts of your scalp you might’ve missed. Your hair may get a little damp accidentally, but do your best to avoid that so you don’t have to dry it. I also use a toothbrush on my scalp to scrub when needed (which is a little nutty, I admit 😅).
blessed
Love your stuff, dude. Been following you for what feels like a decade. Thanks for the positivity!
Great video
Beautiful 🤘

Your dreads are beautiful. I hope you never cut them.

@JosephYaden amazing thanks for the tip!! I'll give it a shot. Because that 3hour dry is the only headache 😂
What did you do to prevent flat dreads
@@ano6908 hey! The dreads will round out by themselves over time. Let nature run its course.
