On this tour they made a setlist with many old songs from all eras, some played a few times in the past, only a few were included from Cross Purposes, I would love to hear them all live
I'm glad that the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath is available and officially. A lot of people don't like it but us fans of this era are happy that this is finally happening
The world would be a very, very dangerous place if Cross Purposes or any album from Martin's time became mainstream, it would last a long time if I was really in good mental health Hahahaha
Awesome album! I'm happy Mr. Martin is finally getting recognition for his time in the band. There are so many great songs from this era of the band that have been largely overlooked, it's criminal! Cheers!
He seems like a really good dude . He got treated pretty unfairly during his time in the band and kept going back despite the ill treatment and being let go at one point . He doesn't seem to hold a grudge about it and is on good terms with Iommi these days and they even did some interviews together recently.
The intro of this song is absolutely iconic. The song is of course about a real story of an English nurse in 1993 that was convicted for killing multiple infants under her care; Beverley Allitt.
And we had another last year did we not? I care not what religion someone is or not but it is the greatest sin /worst thing you can do killing children ,even many satanists would agree.
The first time I saw Sabbath was on this tour. Severely underappreciated era of the band. Tony and Geezer were in fine form, Martin was underrated singer, Bobby Rondinelli's drum work here was outstanding. There isn't a bad song on the album; it's one I can still listen to straight through 30 years later.
Frick yeah The Hand That Rocks The Cradle promo music video, Frickin' sick as Frick, saw this song Live at the San José Event Center, when you guys were on the Cross Purposes World Tour, Epic Stupendous good times, thanks Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, Tony Martin & Bobby Rondinellli The Masters Of Metal! 👩🎤 ⃝𖤐𓆩🤘𓆪🤟⃤⩜⃝🤘⃤⸸⁶⁶⁶⛧✞✟୧⍤⃝✞✟୧⍤⃝✞✟୧⍤⃝⁶⁶⁶✞✟ᴠͥɪͣᴘͫ•TONY୧⍤⃝🎸ᴠͥɪͣᴘͫ•𝆺𝅥:୧⍤⃝🪕ᴠͥɪͣᴘͫ•𝆺୧⍤⃝🎻IOMMI
It would be an absolute banger but Iommi is nearing 80. Never too old to rock n roll sure but I don't really see him that keen on writing atmospheric epic heavy metal. He wanted to do that back in the late 80s/90s because that was the thing. A blues record with Glenn Hughes? Yeah more likely. And Martin's recent solo metal projects weren't that good tbh
Say what you will about the quality of these Tony Martin albums, really weird that Black Sabbath doesn’t want to post these music videos on the official Sabbath channel and Tony Iommi has to post them on his
Real sabbath fans reject this shit. It’s paper thin and ballad bullshit. Real fans don’t just mindlessly say this is good when it’s actually shit except for Iommi’s playing
Black Sabbath and Tony Iommi had a bad era between 1986-1995 and it contains also the album from 1992 with Ronnie James Dio who left the band for the second time just before the end of the tour, but for me those years were fantastic, i mean at the time i didn't know nothing about the problems of the band, i just bought any new album by the band and enjoyed them all, i loved the Tony Martin era, i loved the melodic heavy metal style, it was a great era in my personal life, thanks Tony Iommi, thanks Tony Martin, thanks Black Sabbath, the best heavy metal band of all times, Black Sabath rules!!!
I sometimes would get crazy looks when I would say that the Tony Martin years were as good any other. Once they got him, the music seemed to get a bit more modernized and up tempo. Martins range allowed Tony more freedom to play maybe? I don't know. But this is a perfect example of a heavy metal song that fit the times it was in. Where some of the older stuff with Ozzy did not connect as well with the younger crowds. PS: Not related, but Born again was one of the best metal albums of all time. That record was siiiiiick!
OMG Tony, The guitaring is phenomenal from both you and Geezer as per usual and Tonys vocals are just impeccable The hand that rocks rhe cradle ,truely rocks. This is my favourite so far.
WOW! Such an amazing song.. Tony Martin so talented !!!! fuck yeah ! "Cross Purposes" immense album ad under rated.. thanks Tony for this updated version !
I agree with you 100% Incidentally I've been calling Tony Iommi the 'Riffmesiter General' since I was about 20 (40 years ag0) .Unreal that you call him that too though the slight change in spelling but if you saw it online it just may have been me but don't worry I'm not after money or anything lol. 👍😉
Honestly cannot wait to pick up the new re-releases of 90s Sabbath! This song is as old as I am and I spent a lot of my teens just diving into every last bit of Sabbath discography, but this particular era became harder to find and its been years since I've heard it!
What a fabulous new mix of a terrific song. The whole album is full of killer stuff and should be part of anybody's collection. Tony Martin took Sabbath back to being a relevant force in metal.
On this tour they made a setlist with many old songs from all eras, some played a few times in the past, only a few were included from Cross Purposes, I would love to hear them all live
I thought you would write that you would sell your soul for the remastering and remix of Cross Purposes Live to come out complete. Lol
My friend, you know me like the back of your hands, I love you. Black Sabbath forever
I'm glad that the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath is available and officially. A lot of people don't like it but us fans of this era are happy that this is finally happening
Tony Martin era was so good. I don't think that people doesn't like tony martin, they are just "only ozzy fans" and never listened to Martin era.
Saw Tony with Sabbath and Motörhead and Morbid Angel … all were excellent, i love all eras and music of sabbath
Today is January 1, 2025 and I begin the year discovering this time of Sabbath 🤘❤️
Cross Purposes Live!!! Please
Omg Today... #20 on UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart. Amazing
Cross Purposes
That in 2024 is incredible. I have my copy, I bought all 4 in November. They sound cool
The world would be a very, very dangerous place if Cross Purposes or any album from Martin's time became mainstream, it would last a long time if I was really in good mental health Hahahaha
Tony Martin ❤

There is no 'bad' Black Sabbath line-up. They are all absolutely great!
Yep, it took me a good almost three decades to figure this out!
True, each era is different but they are great! And there is something catchy in songwritting from Tony Martin era
I like martin, ozzy and dio eras but cant get away with gillan
I agree I like born again the most
@@makouras 100%
I would love to see Tony Martin and Tony Iommi playing something live.
This video and Cross Purposes are criminally underrated
I love this lineup, I wish they had made a video for Dying For Love
Tony Martin era Sabbath is so good!
The inspiration of the lyrics is very sad, but what a great song and what a good album by Black Sabbath

Awesome album! I'm happy Mr. Martin is finally getting recognition for his time in the band. There are so many great songs from this era of the band that have been largely overlooked, it's criminal! Cheers!
These albums were my university years, best times. Now I understand the lyrics more and I am loving the songs even more.
He seems like a really good dude . He got treated pretty unfairly during his time in the band and kept going back despite the ill treatment and being let go at one point . He doesn't seem to hold a grudge about it and is on good terms with Iommi these days and they even did some interviews together recently.
Tony Iommi is the godfather of metal
Cross Purposes is my favorite Martin era album. I still rock the original CD.
Through my dad I have the cassette.
Still have mine too!! It's in rough shape though!!
Really! I have this album too! It's fantastic, especially the songs "Dying for love" and "I Witness".
Bought the CD when it came out. Opening track is a killer 🏆👌🤘
I think i have taunus
Tony Iommi , the real life Guitar Hero.
His guitar playing is like a drug.
Sounds great Tony
Which one both Tony's sound amazing, just saying lol!
The guitarist who inspired me to play guitar. Tony Iommi is the greatest.
Theres one and only. The Iron Man
The only studio album that has Geezer with Tony Martin
A black and white video, classic from those times. I love Tony Martin
Tony and Geezer! ❤❤
Cross Purposes and the Tony Martin era isn't for everyone, but I love them
The intro of this song is absolutely iconic.
The song is of course about a real story of an English nurse in 1993 that was convicted for killing multiple infants under her care; Beverley Allitt.

I would've gone to this tour in a heartbeat, if only I wasn't 4 years old at the time 🥲 lol 🤘
Tony Martin great voice
Cross Purposes!! ❤
Black Sabbath forever 🤘🤘
I would have liked to see this lineup live in 1994
Cross Purposes 1994 🤘🤘🤘
The Cross Purposes album has aged well. I liked it then. I like it now.
Tony Martin Rockss

I love Tony Martin vocals
I recently discovered these albums on Spotify that weren't there before. I can't stop listening 🤘🤘🤘❤️

How nice a new Tony Iommi and Tony Martin album would be. Also that unpublished songs appeared

One of my favorite Iommi solos...short, to the point, ear grabbing.
Massive Sabbath album. Full of lethal riffs and melodic vocals

I'd rather see them on Iommi page. Black Sabbath site is run by losers
Yup, part of the lawsuit settlement from a few years back.

@@JIF882 That's the reason there is no RJD/Gillan/Martin related merch available on the Sabbath apparel site.
This year marked the 30th anniversary of Cross Purposes.
The crimes of Beverley Allitt will never be forgotten. 🤘
I recently heard Cross Purposes for the first time. Beautiful surprise
I didn't know this music video even existed, but I love it! 🎸🤘🏻
Rock on Tony!!
Saw Ozzie and Black Sabbath twice in the 70s very heavy music best of all time

I LOVE this era of Sabbath again I think it the most mature era with brilliant songwriting, just exceptional stuff!
Black Sabbath with Tony Martin. Great era
Best Black Sabbath´s voice !
Tony Martin has such a warm voice.. An era that should be tattooed in all BS fans..

Tony Iommi The guitar god
I still continue to listen to these Tony Martin era CDs in my car.
