She is an up and coming star and he wants to impress her with expensive gifts but then overhears her on the phone at the beginning saying she isn’t impressed with material things so he switches his strategy to impress her with nice gestures and picks her cheap flowers and picks her up in the beat up pick up truck and she falls for him.
