She's amongst many contemporary artist my mother listened to along with Amy Grant, Twila Paris, Michelle Pillar, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman just to name a few. I met Sandy a few years back at a women's conference at the Sprint Center. She's a genuine sweetie pie and shows the Fruit of the Spirit.

Nat King Cole might not have been a Christian, it's great that Christian artists can cover non-Christian artists. Being a Christian doesn't mean to only listen to Christian music. I had a Christian tell me I should only listen to Christian music or I would go to hell. There is sin in a lot of secular music, that doesn't make it a place to judge people. I haven't talked to him in years.

Carrie Underwood herself did the song "Jesus Take The Wheel". Christians have the freedom to like all kinds of music. I'm not a death metal fan myself.

And, of course, it's America, so I guess citizens can listen to anything they want, but as any citizen, we are all "entitled" to an opinion concerning non-Christian artists.
