This breakdown just cements my view that every character apart from Kurt Russell's character, is very boring & annoying and I have zero interest in what happens to them. The pace of the show, slows to a stand still, every time it does a flash back for them.

Like when she first appeared I thought she was only muscle help for Tim. But then in this Ep. she has so much input and giving her own feedback. The only thing I wonder is when Tim and her was searching her room for the files why was May hiding like she didn't know who they were? But I guess she could have been like "oh... my sister and Tim. I don't want them to see me" etc 🤷♂Nonetheless I find May very annoying. She's rude to everyone. She's only nice to Cate cuz she help save her life. I wouldn't miss her if she got killed off.

I love the science fiction aspect of Monarch maybe a government cover up. Maybe knowledge of aliens. I love everything about the Umbrella type of Weyland-Yutani type of mythology. The dating/family drama is why people called CW shows. Feelings in hallways.
This is a bit long so, make of it what you will. 2:27, Combined with May insisting to Cate that she ditch her and Lee to save herself, the big “reveal” about her character may not be that she has a twin or secretly worked for Monarch, but that she’s just a criminal on the run and finds it easier to do questionable things if it means she can benefit from it or ensure her and Lyra’s survival. Copying Kentaro’s files without his consent, demanding his life story while getting evasive when asked for details about herself and now taking offers from a Monarch security officer mostly points to her just being a duplicitous person that uses cynicism as a way to dismiss her own actions, especially since she can justify them with her need to protect herself and her sister. 9:34, On the other side, Cate’s infidelity not only mirrors her father’s, but also may end up being a set up to Keiko and Lee also having an affair, making it another “curse” she inherited as her family tree is seemingly filled with people who were consumed by their careers and secrets (in Keiko’s case, both metaphorically if she was indeed unfaithful to Bill and literally with her being presumably eaten by kaiju bugs). 12:09, While both of them due seem to have a sort of bond, May just doesn’t seem to be a good partner because she’s been established as more than comfortable enough to barring any real intimacy beyond the physical while complaining about others doing the same to her. And then there’s the whole working with the shadowy organization behind everyone’s back thing. Not that shipping characters who look vaguely cute together isn’t fun sometimes, but in context, any relationship between them wouldn’t work. While the drama and character moments do help to flesh out the narrative, I’d hoped there’d be a bit more plot progression than this, or at least, more of the character’s drama weaving into the main plot rather than it being more of a side quest to retrieve a map. I personally wouldn’t call it awful, just dull.

The main thing I wanted from this episode was Kate’s PTSD being on the fore front . I loved Kentaro trying to cheer Kate up with the dumb songs it feels nice that after so much animosity they’re finding common ground.

I think I'm done watching this. I wanted to love it but I don't. This episode was the nail in the coffin. Every scene with Kurt was great but Ren Watabe is just so horrible to watch. Just the way he stands annoys me never mind when he speaks. Kiersey Clemons has good potential as an actress I think. Really disappointed I'm not enjoying this. Hopefully the new movies are great.

Go watch Godzilla Minus One while it's still at the theaters. It's the best Godzilla movie I've ever seen and a million times better than the boring Monarch series
The main thing I wanted from this episode was Kate’s PTSD being on the fore front . I loved Kentaro trying to cheer Kate up with the dumb songs it feels nice that after so much animosity they’re finding common ground.

The 3 protagonist we have to follow around is just painfully boring, the fact cate is carpet mucher and they made sure to throw that us in our face, it’s like I knew that from the first episode…. You gave her whole episode to flush it out? Kentaro is literally man child a boy that needs people approval known that since episode 1 well may prob the worst of the bunch. Poorly written nothing to do unlikable character
I think I'm done watching this. I wanted to love it but I don't. This episode was the nail in the coffin. Every scene with Kurt was great but Ren Watabe is just so horrible to watch. Just the way he stands annoys me never mind when he speaks. Kiersey Clemons has good potential as an actress I think. Really disappointed I'm not enjoying this. Hopefully the new movies are great.

Just a thought. I think Ken in San Fran with a bag of chips is a nod to Han from Fast and Furious. Han usually eats snacks in scenes where there isn’t any action. Ken also does the same as there is nothing happening. Cate’s actor also plays the adoptive daughter of Han in F&F. Which makes sense he is eating a bag of chips instead of holding on to them

When Cate's girlfriend snuck up behind her and hugged her, I was oh shit, forcing "the message" down our throats. Plus with all the lame "PTSD freezes" in San Francisco while being chased by the military and the cringe singing on the streets. You guys are trying to NOT get caught by the military, stop singing and turn off your fricking flashlights...

Also predicting that May and Cate will hook up, rewatch the episode, May was running her hands on Cate's thighs before holding hands. This will not last a "few mins" like you mentioned.

He never had those on his back, then after he did it always changed colors, because I've seen from no color to white, then ice blue, if I'm not mistaken, I think I've seen it in green color. Now, it's pink.

Worse, there’s no Kaiju whatsoever and it’s just a compilation of love flashbacks, the only time we see Godzilla is in that same flashback on the bridge they show every episode.

I really did not need the rainbow participants in this episode I felt like it was being forced on me for most of this episode. They had a long drawn out search that was so boring. But I guess being San Francisco it's going to be a bright rainbow but I could care less about their preferences.
