Hey, Farmer Chris. I watch another vlog from Ireland called I Farm We Farm which is work on a dairy farm. Interesting comparison. I will continue to watch both of you. 👍🇨🇦
I was an electrican and instrumentation tech at GPC for about 5 years, learned a lot from that place! Great to see the inside of the plant again, thanks!
It’s a pleasure to see you again sir, always a pleasure to see what you’re up to, good to see what the farming industry is up to. Thanks for the ride along, appreciate you taking the time to record. Stay safe young man.
Nice meeting you here on your channel. I seen you on Mikes channel all the time and watched him working on your feeding and storage areas. I like farm work and I now like your channel. You now have a new subscriber.
People don't realise just how much work goes into getting the food to grow, keeping the cattle and other animals in top condition, it can be the worst job on the planet, and yet the women and men who do these jobs are just built differently from others the wet, cold freezing temp, I will just say when God needed someone to be steward of the world, he made a farmer, well done Chris. Jim from Scotland
I knew that hanging around Dirt Perfect and doing those podcasts gave you the itch to start pumping out more videos. I am glad you have, looking forward to the next one.
Your community is really active on TH-cam. You, Dirt Perfect, Matt with NYmallineal. Also the young man who helped Matt on the castle. Aaron has done a few and Capt, Kleeman. Perhaps the most covered small community. Good job
Glad to see you back. I know about the "hay rush," in Texas, it's almost like the 2020 toilet paper deal every time there's a prediction of ice and snow. I was thinking of getting back into square bales, just because there's such a market for them with "horsey people" if I'm willing to haul it to town.
Wooow,I love your farm channel,I watch rocky mountain farm and farming fixing fabricating,I love watching farm channel,DP is an awesome kool dude on his channel, hope to see you next time, thank you Chris for your show 😊
I was wondering where all the short frame tractors with the standard cabs were. I knew some ended up as "yard dogs" but that could not account for all of them. Out on the interstates they all seem to be stretch long frames with sleepers and all the bells and whistles. Makes sense though for farmers with those crazy gravel roads to places most would not take their city SUVs to. Good to see ya Chris. Wow, I remember when feed corn was actually that. Now you sell the corn and then come back for the left over waste product. Interesting. So much changed since the forties and fifties when grandpa had the lower forty in corn and other sections in straw and hay and he fed in the fields. Everything was square bales back then. Heck, they did not get electric well pump and indoor plumbing until the early sixties. Lost part of the back door sun porch to make a bathroom. Did not miss that outhouse though.
Never did corn silage, just pasture or pea and oats, but that silage looks a nice golden colour. Smell wise when it was good our silage was sort of vinegary/malty smelling. From the looks of it you got a good seal and compaction on your stack. I also agree with keeping the pit narrow so your exposed face is as small as possible. Silage can go off pretty quick when exposed to the atmosphere.
Hello @Farmer Chris, It's so good to see you making some content for us all once again. While I know you are always really busy, I hope to maybe see some more coming our way soon. Thanks again! Steve "Mordakai"
Welcome back to the youtube world. Of course, we see you on few points from perfect but it's glad to see you are back active on your channel again, hopefully. you'll keep up the videos. Love the content Miss my farming years. when I was a kid.
Great video Chris ... great to see you back ... enjoy the DP connections ... interesting contrast in weather ... we are at 40°C while your at 0° ... 🙃🙃
Hey, Farmer Chris, well fed cows make cows & bankers happy. I think you have a good skid steer operator. Stay warm & safe. Remember every one needs you one way or another.
Nice to see you online again Farmer Chris, aways cool to see you on DPs channel. I hope you have the time and inclination to keep putting out the odd video from your side of the fence about their shennaigans lol
First of all thanks for an amazing and informative video. You and everyone like you are the backbone of America. Great to have you back in your element, you do a great job with Dirt Perfect on his podcast but you really shine on the farm. Shoutout to your brother also.
Glad to see another video from you. We get to keep up with you on the podcast but it’s really nice to see your operation and the way you do things. That ice and snow wasn’t bad but the cold was. We run cattle and chicken houses about an hour and half south of you. How’s the litter supply there?Several barns shut down in your area. Keep the videos coming.
Hey Chris, great to see ya. Hopefully you have time to make more videos, love watching your videos when you get time to post them. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the in site and information about the business. I grew up around silage, brewery grain and hay for milk cows, so this stired up memories me. Thanks
Straw has a constant protein, hay can be 6% protein in one field and 14% in another field. We just need fiber and filler so straw doesn’t s easier to make a constant ration.
Thanks for a new video Chris, it's strange seeing a current day video and not a history video like Mike's over on Dirt Perfect lol hope you have an amazing spring
Farmer Chris, greetings from West Texas. I have been watching you on DP and enjoy watching your farming content. I am 81 and had a operation much like yours, it is hard work , but very satisfying. I learn a lot of the latest farmcraft from your content. Good to see you on You Tube.
Great update, that's all we need is an update now and then. We like riding along and seeing what you are up to, that's all. We don't mind riding on the floor, even.
Good morning young man and great to see you sir? We all know this is hard for you to do with your busy schedule and really do appreciate your efforts sir
Wow... you have got one hell of an operation there Big Daddy .. It takes a lot of work to keep the ball rolling. I hope you keep these videos going we love to see how real people make it happend .. Thanks, See Ya

It's about time. I was waiting for DP Towing and Recovery to pull that Volvo out of the mud. You still need a Mack 😁
Nice Vid!
Cows have their own food delivery services 😂. Very interesting seeing your day to day operation

Chris, that spot where you got struck looks like the spot where you got the combine stuck and DR'S towing and recovery had to get you out. Lol
Haven’t had the combine stuck on this farm, yet!

Hi Farmer Chris, so great to see you again, you are surely missed, hope to see you more…..
The one constant on a farm is there is ALWAYS something to do.
Thanks for the in site and information about the business. I grew up around silage, brewery grain and hay for milk cows, so this stired up memories me. Thanks
Not being a farmer i always thought straw was for bedding.. learn something new every day..🇨🇦🇨🇦
