- In this video we take a unique Heritage pistol out to the range. I tell you a little bit about it and then I do some shooting just having some fun putting some rounds through it. I Call Billy the Kid. So let’s go out to the range and have some fun.
That's a sharp looking pistol with a good looking holster. The great thing about Heritage pistols is you can add or swap out so many parts. I've changed something on all 4 of mine. Marc's holsters really set them off. I'm switching one from standard frame to Birdshead grips that have the wood & Pearl design. It was my son-in-law's who passed from cancer so we decided to fix it up for his Dad to have. Plus an extra 22wmr cylinder & holster. He is a good man. 👍

Nice looking Heritage Rough Rider and I love the cross draw holster. I may need to contact Marc Thomas for one to use with my Bar Keep. I saw that video where the Firearms Addict put the bead sight on the end of the Bar Keep Boot. I hope Heritage has watched it and takes note. Great video have a great day.
The only reason I could ever see for buying a "boot", is for the bird's head grip frame, and having a spare cylinder.
You "made" a better pistol combining the two.

Hello Al, hope your day has started off great. A morning prayer and good cup of coffee usally do it.
I've a few single actions 22's myself. I have two original Colt scouts, one in nickle plated buntline, the other Colt scout in 4 3/4 i belive. both shoot amazing. But truthfully speaking, so does my Heritage 22's. i have 4 of them. ive done exactly what ya' did by painting fingernail polish on the front sight. my old eyes aint what they used to be. I'm sure you know what im saying there.
Hey Al, wanna see something interesting? take a Colt scout, remove the grips, do the same with a Heritage. compare them side by side. even the grips on my Colts made in 1959 fit pretty darn good on my Heritage, its crazy how close. thinking Taurus cloned them Heritage's to the mark, I'm here to tell ya'.
the grips on this revolver are just exactly whats on my 1" barrel barkeep boot. i honestly really like the fit and feel. Altamont grips did a really sweet grip there for Heritage. Ive also put a PVD finished 22wm cylinder that i ordered from their website ythat looks sharp as a tack in my Heritage revolvers.
Zero doubts you can really shoot, it really shows here in this video.
