It's been a long time coming, it's not up for debate. You've been a hollowed-out apple, though you're standing up straight. It's later than you think and we're not gonna wait if you continue to tell us, if you continue to tell us: "The Universe is Going to Catch You..." Well, it was fine until you fell off of the face of the earth 'cause we'd call you at home and no one picked up the phone. We were worried that you'd fallen in the river or worse. But then you sent us back a letter, it said in capital letters: "THE UNIVERSE IS GOING TO CATCH YOU..." Come back inside to this house, to your home, made of steel-structured styrofoam. Nobody's out there! But someone is singing you back to your birthplace. That voice is the same voice you heard on the same night that: Everything glowed. Took you into the air. And the arms of the Universe kept you from falling. But after that happened, those arms did not come back. So when you leaped up and nobody caught you your neck broke.
I'm glad to have known this beautiful song after finishing the rpg game "teoqontu" the melancholic and happy atmosphere that you can convey is incredible, congratulations :3
This is my favorite song by this splendid band right after Two from the Hospice album. It's a real bummer that I couldn't find this song on Google Play, nor the album it's from.
I wouldn’t normally comment something like this, but seeing as the most recent comment is from 3 years ago. This song calms me in such a great way, when my heart is racing and mind won’t slow, this is one of my go to songs like a reverse adrenaline shot, my heart slows and the brakes are applied to my mind.
Hm. Well, it'll take me a long time to find another band as magnificent as The Antlers. Completely in love with this band, I want them to come to Sweden so that I can see them live :D
not suprising. i recognized Mr. Gnome on the same episode and looked up what else was the same episodes soundtrack. who ever curates the music likes their indie rock
This album isn't bad at all. Personally, Hospice is my favorite, but this album is also amazing. I can understand why people would like it better than Hospice.
@leraginasian Thanks a lot. I tried your pause play method and I think it will eventually work. Unfortunately, I have trouble finding the initial chord in this song specifically. Starting at :31, I attempted to play the chord on guitar just by ear and I can't figure it out. I thought it was A minor for a while but that seems to be off. I also tried variations of C but I still can't determine the chord. Any other advice regarding figuring out a chord (at least for this song) would be great!
@leraginasian Thanks a lot! That's really hope-inspiring. I am far from musically inclined and I always assumed the only way to really learn music for someone like me is through theory. If I just learn more chords and get them memorized, I should be able to just guess and check if nothing else. Thanks again!
@Kurgan28 I haven't listened to this album other than this song, but I listened to their newest one and I believe hospice is their masterpiece, once I listen to one song of that album, I can't not listen to the whole album, it's really amazing
@leraginasian Thanks a lot. One more question though. How did you determine that the second chord is a Bm? Its not like its very common for an Am to go to Bm. Is it just the fact that you have been doing it by ear for a long time or do you have a teachable method?

Heard this band for the first time today, and I can say it feeds my soul in all the right places :)
Reminds me of some sort of stairway to heaven and around 1:30 you start running as fast as you can into the jaws of some force of overwhelming light
Yeah, I'd agree with you on that one.
This might singlehandedly be the most underrated song I’ve ever heard
Nah its just perfect in a way noone can see. But you did. ...only makes it better
3:05 is when it really hits me. Shame it has to end so soon right after, but, hey! Maybe that's just part of the impact

The beat and lyrics are amazing. My new song on repeat for spring.

Hospice is indeed a masterpiece, but I think this song is better than anything on that album. Which is saying something. I love this song so much.

Sounds like this band don't have the ability to fail in making great music. ^_^

I can't find tabs for this song anywhere!!!

1000th like ✊
@Kurgan28 This album is on par with Hospice, but doesn't receive as much love for some reason. But you definitely need to check it out.
Buen tema
@leraginasian I would LOVE to learn to do this. Any recommendations on how to determine the tabs by ear?
universe police. you are under arrest.
@leraginasian Thanks a lot.
