God, I love the piano in this song, and the fact that the melody comes back again in the closing track makes this album even more awesome. One of my favorite albums ever.
Completely awake in the back of the car I don't drift anymore All's come into place and I unlock the door If you have to warm up you can go back inside but I'm not gonna follow forward I've come to prefer sleeping outdoors Upstairs and downstairs And outside on the roof Small stars and steel bars Say the ghosts up in the attic tell the truth Standing on shingles at night, can't you see that there's a reason The plans aren't on the ground, they're high and hanging down Well once I remember the words we can climb down from the rooftop I swear that I heard it right here, invasively clear But I was upstairs and downstairs And outside on the roof Small stars and steel bars Say the ghosts up in the attic tell the truth
it's not idolization it's expressing who you are, ever hear someone say I couldn't have said it better myself well more often than not out of the trillions of people who have ever lived there has probably been someone who has said something better than me or you. It's not ripping off because you haven't tricked someone into thinking it's yours. Just because someone thought of something first and you really like the phrase or image so you use it does not take away from the meaning.
At most it makes the body art less personal but it still represents you and something you believe in or something you just thought looked cool. I mean what if an artist painted a beautiful tree he saw while taking a walk and painted it does it take away from the beauty or originality. Same with tattoos the fact you are able to simply recognize the beauty or wisdom behind someone else s creation says loads about yourself
this is a great album but why is it that for the first two albums the sound fluctuates a lot and most of the time its really quiet? its kind of annoying.
All Out awake up in tha back of tha car I don't drift no mo' Allz come tha fuck into place And I unlock tha door If you gotta warm up you can go back inside But I aint gonna follow forward I've come ta prefer Chillin outdoors Upstairs n' downstairs And outside on tha roof Lil Small-Ass stars n' steel bars Say tha pimps up in tha attic tell tha real deal
what does it matter who made it up, if it inspires you it inspires. It's not like you're going around claiming you just made up whatever quote or artwork that's on your body. If you see something that means a lot to you and you want pay tribute why the hell shouldn't you. It's not being lazy it's paying respect to the artist, who are you to say that's stupid. I mean really sometimes other people put things into words and images better than we can.
well my point was art is stilling meaningful no matter where it is or who thought of it first. But yeah I guess we will have to(flips over table) GOOD DAY!
pay tribute...yeah, theres another problem. its almost like a form of idolization when you put someone elses art on yourself. people should stop worshipping others and, like i said before, think of their own shit to get tattooed. its meaningless when you just rip something off from someone else. its a representation of themselves, it shouldnt come from someone elses mind.

this makes me feel so at peace. like i'm one with the universe.

I wish they would play this song live.
there's something haunting about this song
great song
Música boa
A true masterpiece, and my favourite of their songs, second only to doppelgänger- although lately it's been tempting first place.
i want to learn this for guitar and just fucking play it everywhere.
love this amazing amazing song.
@taz88308 the whole album is actually just one song divided into different parts. Thats why the ending is a bit sudden.

awesome album !!! complete me....
pure aural magic
I don't like how the background sounds take over the voice at some points :/ but over all I really like this!

that comparison doesnt really work though, because the tree isnt a work of art, the artist makes it into one. i guess we simply disagree.

Pretty sure it was self produced, that's the cost I guess.
isn't that what most tattoos are someones artistic creation?
Cosmic Anne Frank
or youre just a 16 year old who would get the flavor of the week tattooed on yourself if your parents allowed you to.

well that's fairly pretentious.
