Big Pike fishing in Ireland

I had a plan to do some float trolling today using dead bait while on the float tube, unfortunately the wind made this really difficult and after a quick change of tactics the fish started to come.
As per usual the Goby Shad stole the show with a Monster Pike right at the end of the day!

It really depends on what you want it for and what it's on?
If you want proper mapping and detail then you pay for what you get.
If you simply want something to show you depth and drop offs etc then you can get one cheap enough

What a class fish! How do you decide where to go fishing? Past experience, reports from friends, tackle shop tip offs or just get the map out and fish random waters? Don't worry I'm not fishing for tip offs. I only travel to Ireland in the summer holidays and rarely fish for pike then. I try and fish water's in my local Hampshire area that rarely get pike fished or from a good tip off. 20lb pike are pretty rare. Good video!
