O'Leno State Park, High Springs, Florida, 2022

In this video Salvatore Vinciguerra travels to O'Leno State Park in High Spring, Florida. Salvatore shares with you the history of the of the state park, hiking trails, nature, and unique features of the state park. This Florida State Park has several buildings and suspension bridges built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's. It also has a special natural sink that has the Sante Fe River go underground and then rises up again 3 miles away at the River Rise Preserve State Park.
Salvatore recommends that you book your RV campsite in the Magnolia campground because it is walking distance to the main areas of the park. Campsites are electric and water only, but there is also a bath house, dump station, laundry, and children's playground. The Dogwood campground is acceptable, but be careful as there are more trees and tight areas for RV's to maneuver.
The O'leno State Park is a great state park for hiking, bicycling, horse riding, birding, geo-seeking, picnicking, walking and running, canoeing, kyaking, and much more. Patrons can reserve pavilions for special occasions like weddings, reunions and camps. In addition to RV and tent camping guests can reserve cabins in the main park area.
Nature viewing is abundant with white tailed deer, birds and other animals that can be seen either at dawn or dusk.
