  • Maximum Attack TV brings from our Archives, 'SENNA SLAP - The F1 Slap Seen Round the World!", Ok He Pretends to Slap Jean Marie Ballestre.
    This clip is from the 1991 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix podium in Phoenix, Arizona USA. It is the first race of the season and Senna dominates.
    On the podium, Ayrton pretends to Slap Jean Marie Ballestre while receiving his Medal. Interesting considering that Ballestre and the FIA were threatening Senna with suspension over the off season. Nelson Piquet joins in the fun.
    Alain Prost is not very happy losing to Senna, and do note a young Ron Dennis is there as well. Golden days of F1 with 3 world champions on the Podium that day representing 10 World Titles.
    It was early days for Maximum Attack TV, but we were there at this key moment in F1 History!
    Note: This is a new enhanced version of a previous posting.

      He had prepared the French national anthem to be played and the delay was to allow for them to switch for the Brasilian one ... That's what Piquet was joking to the big fat guy about.

    Jean-Marie Balestre contributed to Senna’s death. When Senna joined Williams the FIA banned computers as Williams had a great advantage over the competition. Going into the 1994 season the FIA ban seriously handicapped Williams leading to Senna’s death.

    • @Whillie_Whonka1
      @Whillie_Whonka1 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Total BS, it’s up to the teams to build a safe car within the rules.
      Might as well accuse the pilot who flew him to Imola for that race also of having contributed to his death.

    • @hlcepeda
      @hlcepeda 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I still have a great abiding dislike for Balestre, but not so much as to tag him as the scapegoat for Senna's death. So, the facts: Firstly, the computer and software on the Williams car had absolutely nothing to do with the crash. Of the three possible causes being investigated by the authorities, it was determined that the crash was caused by the mechanical failure of the steering column "due to faulty modification made by Williams." Even before that finding was made, a steering column failure was suspected. Secondly, Williams wasn't the only constructor using active suspensions in their cars in 1993; most of the others also employed such suspensions, but the Williams cars' -- with its suspension and eight other innovations -- had a car well prepared for winning. That led to complaints from the other constructors, so it wasn't just Balestre who wanted to curb hi-tech advantages and regain technological parity in the sport. Thirdly: The new suspensions led to significantly greater cornering speeds that overwhelmed the racecourses _and_ some drivers -- and thereby presented safety concerns with that contributing to the 1994 ban. Bottom Line: The 1994 ban LOGICALLY resulted from the issues raised in 1993 by the constructors, and the safety issues related to greater speeds back then. Senna just happened to switch teams going into the '94 season and died due to William's faulty modification of his car's steering column.

      Mosley was president of the FIA before Sennas death

    • @Shattertry
      @Shattertry 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MrNinjaFishIndeed, Mosley felt so much guilt about the 1994 season and the safety issues largely caused by the sudden ban on electronic aids that he pushed for the creation of the EuroNCAP certification (crash tests evaluations for street cars mostly) two years later, in 1996. Senna warned there would be more accidents this year, yet defending the measure, which was also supposed to level teams and budgets. It only made the best cars of previous year more unstable and crash-prone, and likely incited teams which relied on such aids previously to cheat (like Benetton). This season was a catastrophe in the making.

    • @MrNobodyx15
      @MrNobodyx15 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      he wasnt killed before the accident, the steering barrel of the Williams car broke, and after that, Williams did a welding job on it but during the accident that killed Senna, the steering barrel broke again due to the poor welding job, if u see the onboard camera of the accident u can clearly see that the wheel barrel broke and Senna tried to turn the car but the car went straight into the wall and on top of that, the suspension bar of the front wheel hit right into Senna's helmet and he suffered a fatal injury in the head.
      But if the suspension bar didnt hit Senna he would walk away of the car with no injuries since he had no broken bones or bruises in his body according to Prof. Sid Watkins.

      anyway, that weekend with 3 major crashes and 2 deaths, was not responsability of Mr Balestre, but a decision of our rulling BAD Spirituality that was Senna´s last race... (aka Drako´s & Reptilians) in my view

    • @angelracing
      @angelracing 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Senna had a contract with this Spirituallity that goes for more than 12 thousand years, i hope humanity one day trought the intervention of good beings from higher dimentions finally being able to see is what is actualy going on, in our Planet... and His contract still valid, if i not misinformed

    • @lorazaza960
      @lorazaza960 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      :( It's never taken into consideration, but in fact unfortunately not even Ayrton could have escaped unscathed from the terrible damage caused by the deceleration suffered in the impact with the Tamburello wall. The most realistic hypothesis is that he would have suffered a more or less diffuse axonal injury, which is what most recently led to the death of poor Jules Bianchi...
