you told that motor takes starting current of 3% to 5% of FLC. while its taking 300% which is 40 A of FLC of 13.56 A in your Case.

Agar motor 10 amp current le raha hai.. Toh start karne par 70 to 80 % jyada current leta hai.. Matlab yeh hai ki 10 amp + 70% of 10 amp. Toh lagbag current nikal aata hai : 17 amp starting par.
