Oh what a wonderful time you had. I really plan to make the effort to come next year. Only a longish bus ride or bus and train. I have visited the shop once and Michaela is lovely. Helpful, friendly and not pushy.. The yarn bomb was so well thought out. I miss my local yarn shop. We yarn bombed the street for a flower competition. Took months to make everything. Like A Modern Yarn it was a little friendly community. And you had to buy that yarn. Oh i have been crocheting for many years and just use the plain cheap hooks x
Jane, oh do come next year and if I make it we can have a good old natter. What was extra special was listening to people talking about how delightful it all was. Some people had knitted in the past and they couldn't now for health reason and how they missed it. Others just admired all the hard work. Many many comments about how much Michaela and team have brought to village. xx
Hi karen what a lovely day you seemed to have. The yarn shop was a delight and the ladies so talented. I love the colours of the yarn you chose to copy Laura. Take care lovely and happy crafting xx

On Karen, wasn't the yarn bombing amazing!! I'd love to have seen it. I've been going to Freshfields since before I was born. I used to love playing in the dunes. Some very, very happy memories of going there within own children and grandchildren now too. We always used to love spotting the squirrels. We haven't been since 2019, I've just checked with my daughter. That is going to have to change and make a visit this year. The yarns are gorgeous. The alpaca banks look so snuggly.
