ADVANTAGES of having a 20" TRANSOM on an INFLATABLE BOAT

All of the Stryker LX and HD models come with a 15"one piece fully welded aluminum transom. All of the Stryker PRO models come with a 20" one piece fully welded aluminum transom. We built this model with a 20" to accommodate a JET outboard or a Mercury (or any other brand) long shaft motor. The whole idea behind the PRO was to have an inflatable boat that could go into skinny water (typically a river) with a JET outboard. The PRO is now loved by many of our customers who want a tough, robust boat inflatable that they can take anywhere!
The top reasons why you should choose a 20" are:
1. The height of the transom puts the tiller handle of a Mercury outboard in a comfortable spot for the driver. The Mercury tiller handle is in the centre of the boat and is adjustable. This is a great feature that Mercury offers with their outboards.
2. The 20" transom keeps the following wave from coming into your boat. If you come to an abrupt stop, you can get a wall of water coming into the back of your boat over your transom. The height of this transom helps to prevent water from coming into your boat.
