Jenns' turn at 12:54. Why not hire the free monk on the right and draw 2 cards for her first action. She was card poor at that time. It would at least give her some flexibility as to what to do next.
Game looks good although I sense a theme in all of the Valeria games. They seem to take the mechanisms of other popular games and essentially reskin them with this Valeria theme. This is not necessarily a bad thing and it's not like other games don't borrow from other games, but you can really point out the other games they are borrowing from. P.S. Rahdo I love your videos and your frenetic energy, but am I the only one that hates when you make mistakes and seeing you make them. :-). Can only imagine how hard it is to play 2 characters and play out as many choices as possible. Keep up the good work.
***** QoV isn't like Splendor. But it is *very* similar to The Builders: Middle Ages... Don't know if you've played that. It also suffers from the same AP problem. At least for me, heh... ;-)
+matthlowder I haven't played Lords of Waterdeep, but this game looks smaller and is cheaper. I've considered backing the KS but now I'd like to know more so I can decide whether I should or not. This game looks simple enough I can play it with my family. Is Lords of Waterdeep as light as this?
+Rico Cordova Nope, it's a full board game with worker meeples, resource cubes, building tiles, an Intrigue deck ("take that" type of cards), etc. If you're wanting something light though, then this looks like it would be a great substitute.
+Robb Perez Actually it's pretty obvious that it is just like LoW (even by reading the first public rules you could see it from the beginning) Try to see the final thoughts and you will see why that has happened.
+Rigor Mortis sorry about that, i just go at the speed I normally speak at. you can actually change the youtube speed to slow me down and make me more understandable (though it also makes me sort of sound like I'm drunk) :)
