I have a Magus not far off from yours. Consider Intruder Alert and how many times you would get to tap Lucea while making zombies or while other people were making tokens! 3 50/50 ballista's is still a record I will aim to beat though
@@MTGMuddstah Please do it! It would be a fun series, pick a legendary creature with enough different cards printed for it and play with all 4 different ones
On the same theme, would be cool to see 4 different praetors face off. Obviously don’t think they could all be the same one (ie all Urabrask) since they vary in power a lot. It would be cool to see the latest praetors all face off tho (the saga versions)
Yall gotta understand if Omnath wasnt removed before Damnation was cast a bunch of damage would have been dished out via Omnath's second ability. Everyone is always looking to call out wrong plays for no reason.

Oh, Lucea, one of my favorite commanders from recent. It is hard to keep her alive if the table knows what's up, but I just can't resist giving her Pemmin's Aura and dumping 100 +1/+1s on Vorinclex and having him say 'Hi' to whomever I like the least :D Or making 3 36/36 Shivan Devastators to round out the game.
Hey Muddstah? Do you have a deck list for Magus? I've one built that focuses on big Tyranids/Hydras. Every game I always (threaten to) kill one player, get Magus removed, and then my deck is too slow to come back.
Surely it doesn't matter, but I think the Ballistas could have been even bigger: You had like 23 lands in play; let's say 11 of which were basics. You also had Nexos. You cast and copied Reality Spasm, tapping your basics for 2 colorless and the rest for regular. That's X=24 (your lands + Lucea), floating 10. Resolve first copy, tap everything again. 22 from basics, 2 from Lucea, 12 from other lands; 46 floating. Do that all again, 82 floating. Cast Recovery, cast Flourishing. 76 floating. Put 38 in the X of Ballista, doubling with Flourishing and copying twice with Lucea, making 3 76/76. Also, you had 3 landdrops for a bit there, but never used more than 2. Again, this does not matter, and I might have very well missed something important. You might just have chosen 25 because it is a way nicer number than 38. Who knows. I'm just making a comment to engage on a video of a pretty cool game, all things considered.
I also have a Magus Lucea deck, and i also love it to death, i have impressive wins like yours but my record is dealing 300+ damage with Jayas immolating inferno and playing 3 hasty Voracious Hydras adding up to 660+ damage Also that reality spasm play never even closed my mind, really sweet
Did Corwin tutor the Torment and cast it assuming Justin would sac the Ouphe instead of just Putrefying it? Not sure if he would have had enough mana, but casting Torment where X=2 seemed really underwhelming, and it just allowed you to sac your Lifeblood Hydra.
He had to kill the Omnath otherwise a bunch of death triggers would have gone to his face. Better lost the life from Feed the Swarm that get blasted for 20+ damage of the death triggers
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure you shouldnt have been able to Ambush Baba Lysaga, not only did she have hexrpoof till EOT so she wouldn't have been a valid target for the fight, and even if she didnt have Hexproof zhe had indestructible as well till EOT so the fight wouldn't have killed her. Thoughts?
as a gruul omnath player, i'm not a fan of go wide and combat focus strats for our angry boy. Everyone expects that. I run non-combat combos so you only need omnath on the table for one turn then pop off and either win on the spot or generate enough value to oppress the board.
Yeah I play glass cannon angry bean and it usually leads to the exact situation that happened in this game where your field is wiped and you're top decking. I am glad to finally see him used though since usually people opt for the other versions.
On today’s episode we have lands, vs land fall, vs land fall, vs sac lands? What a game
4 green decks and a beautiful game of magic
Fantastic game. Towards the end it seems like everyone was almost punched out after throwing so many haymakers.

Holy shit! That triple walking ballista finish was BEAUTIFUL!
"Baba Lysaga" still feels like a quote from a Hollow Knight NPC to me... like something Brumm would say. 🙃
Hope your son is feeling better.

Yes

Hello Andrew! Just want to say that I’m a big fan of yours and hopefully one day my EDH/Commander gameplays are as big as yours!
This seemed like a fun and balanced game. That finish was wild!
I wonder why Corwin didn't just sink all his mana into that Torment of Hailfire...
I think I was trying for the win. And Justin just wasn't cooperating.

13:37 Couldn't have Corwyn just killed Justin and Charles by pumping all his mana into the Torment of Hailfire?
I was thinking about that as well. Didnt understand why he didnt do it
Corwin's plays in general were weird, what was with the feed the swarm into Damnation?
@@cjm8836that was ok, omnath second ability deal 3 damages to any target when him or another elemental dies.

For some reason this one didn't show up in my subscriptions feed. Glad I found it anyway, though.

There was a math error in the game. Justin's life total should have been at 8 not 18 when that spell was cast.
