I actually agree with Jay Mike I feel like the mercurial has been out for a while now the X ghosted.1 just brings a different feeling that closely resembles the adizero but with an even better more aggressive outsole idk I’ve always been back and forth between mercurial and adizero but for the last couple of years I’ve worn mercs and I finally switched to the X and it was just a completely different sensation which with speed boots I feel you need the change every once in a while to keep that mental edge
@@osmanygarcia798 they work fine, not really a noticeable difference maybe just a little less comfortable. I did get big pain around the left heel but not blisters and I can’t figure out what it is so I’m probably switching back to mercs, I enjoyed the change tho

Unisport, I can’t decide between vapor 13 elite and x ghosted.1. The problem is that mercurial fits me slightly better but I play on fg mostly and sometimes on ag and x ghosted.1 is fg/ag boot. What should I do? Please help
bro get the vapors the fit is wayyy more important than the surface, plus the boots wil "expand" once u wear them a couple times so get the closest fit for the best lockdown
If you have money to spend on high end boots, get nike. No doubt. Nike mercurial is the best and not only they're fast and great touch on the ball, they're pretty well balanced football boots too I would say. You can literally play with these boots in any position on the pitch. They're comfortable. But, if you don't want to pay that much money, or if you're considering to buy take down models, adidas take down models are better than nike's in terms of their materials that they used on take down boots. Nike take down boots are pretty thick at least for me. I don't like that. But most adidas take down like X ghosted .3, .2 are pretty thin and soft. I got MDS 001 academy for like almost a year (around 11 months) and the out sole is already blowing out. It might depends on how much do you play too I think. I'm in a team and I play literally everyday with team, individual and with friends. So it might broke faster. That's my opinion though. You should think about yourself. Maybe get both and try them out. Then, return the one that you don't really like.
I have both and I play equally the same on each surface. The mercs are a tighter narrower fit which I went a half size up because i have a wider foot. The adidas are wider so stay true to size. Wearing them both I choose the ghosted 1 to wear more often. To be honest I feel the grip is so similar that I don’t notice a major difference during games. you can’t go wrong with either one and maybe it comes down to looks.

Everything is balanced: the rigth amount of grip, padding, comfort, and responsivness. And the anathomycal outsole is amazing. But I guess it isn´t as attractive, new and revolutionary as the X.

I was really close to getting the X Ghosted .1's over the mercs, but the look of the boot wasn't cutting it for me. They just don't look nearly as special as the +. Also the creasing when you push off, and the lack of grip on the surface all made me ultimately go with the mercs, a shoe that remains competitive (if not the best) OVER A YEAR after release. That being said I think both shoes seem super amazing, I wish the .1's were styled more like the + with those beautiful gold stripes and reflective outsole/carbitex plate. I don't think you could go wrong with either, and the .1's are cheaper for those of you on more of a budget. It will be interesting to see which shoe is better between the vapor 14s and the next adidas speed boot in a year or two. Cheers!
I’ll be honest it could’ve gone either way and since the creasing in the .1 isn’t as bad as in Ghosted+ I still felt there were more positives than negatives in terms of letting it take 1st place. I’m personally a big fan of the Mercs as regular viewers will know, but I also need to acknowledge when new tech just works - and again, if I were to pick the boot that feels the fastest out the at the moment, my gut feeling says X Ghosted.1. Is it the best boot overall? No, that would be the Merc (which in turn is beaten by the Neo III for me as well but that’s a topic for another day) /Jay
@@unisport Oh word, I didn't know the creasing wasn't as much of an issue with Fluroskin. And yeah that Carbitex insert looks hard to beat as well. I'm still thrilled with my mercs but I wish I could have given the .1's a real go, they are impossible to get around here. I love my mecurials, but beware of the aggresive studs. You will most likely ruin your knees and/or back on artificial pitch
