So something I'll say, this build is super reliant on dexterity / crit chance stat. Enemy critical avoidance is a thing, they have constitution values as well and that provides crit avoidance. I will say non empowered non crit snipe does 1.3k, fully empowered with greatsword buff / heartseeker / critting does 3.5k using Gravepeak 2stars as test target. Comparing to shortbow with arrowstorm - barrage: this build will outperform if you have an epic or legendary bow giving a metric assload of dex. If you're resting crit is around 40+ (you'll need more in carphin) this will prolly outperform shortbow. Shortbow with arrowstorm however provides consistency. Auto chain - quick tap scatter shot / barrage with full pen setup against the same targets is regularly doing 2.9k in arrowstorm damage and 1500 between barrage / scatter shot. Of course, with double bullseyes, I'm seeing charged scatter hitting 3k into headshot 3k, but sometimes i miss crit on both and only hit for 3k total between both skills. Random dude in comments section that loves ranger way too much final verdict: Yeah this is a pretty aight build. You REALLY need gear for this build to shine, but at current BIS gear cap this is prolly peak performance. It'll feel REALLY bad when you just get unlucky and miss snipe, but it'll feel INCREDIBLE when you Snipe auto chain lightning reload snipe inside of a lion mark and drop a casual 10k damage. However due to armor values in carphin, I'd say shortbow with pen for most players will eek out in performance. If anyone else wants to discuss please do, I love learning more about this class.
I did mention in the beginning that this is how I do it with Longbow. I'm not a fan of shortbow due mostly to playstyle. I much prefer longbow. I do agree with pretty much everything here, and shortbow for sure is the king of sustain. Especially if we're talking later in game when you get gear that gives +fire/necro/etc. damage to autoattacks.
LoR hasn't had any new PvP content in forever, and they're focussing on PvE, and also their budget is severely cut. Feels bad to play it atm. As for future content, no idea, we're trying various things out, who knows.

I just realised that I can do 2 extra upgrades in 1 skill, instead of 1 🤣 Also I've notice that I can cast Strider on mount, but I am not sure if it works.
I can confirm it works on mounts it's a very very small notice in speed but u can definitely see it u can also cast stride and then group stride and what I found(probably a bug) is who ever had the individual stride also receives the party stride for even more boost
@@FlankerAOC I tested it out against higher level mobs and it doesn't seem to work but also higher level mobs seem to have higher chance of just preventing crits? Honestly not sure how that works but fair enough. So essentially both options feel bad against higher level mobs and bosses for the ranger at least.
I just hit level 15 and realized I been specing into wond...... mabye good for pvp cuz wond prevents healing but NOT PVE cuz only Sherman's heal or healers heal I don't Wana respec imma just wait for phase 2 and remember my mistake and remember this video lol
@GrappLr i guess but I could be doing stagger or bleed for finishers I wish we had 2 ability bars or somthing 1 for pve and 2 for pvp allow us more freedom lol

The fact that people have "builds" and "guides" and optimized crap already in AoC I'd what's wrong with modern MMOs. You all can't just play the game and let things be natural, you have to go and have some walk through written out for you and some youtube personality give you their opinion first.

Great video, Grapplr
I mean we really don’t have many options. That’s basically what most people run.
People have been asking a lot to show how I build the Ranger at different level brackets
havent been here for a looong time
hope ur doing well
why dont you play lor anymore , what direction do you plan on going about twitch and yt

@GrappLr thx for replying
Hope you find a content that Suits you well
Best of luck
Appreciate. Excellent shared knowledge. Thanks.
Glad to help!
Are there Rsists in the build? As in resusta agai cold, fire, poison, DD, magic?? Kinds stuff for the PvP stuff?
No, not really. You have magical and physical mitigation, as well as magical and physical chance to evade.

Let's Go! What is the blue badge next to your character's name?
I was probably set as defender from a caravan?
@GrappLr oh true, thank you
The best Ranger!
what do u thing about shortbow?
Great as sustain, and a different playstyle. I prefer longbow for playstyle reasons, but they've both super viable.

Haven't tried the strider on mount yet!
Definitely works on caravans, so I would assume it should work on mounts as well

Crit damage or penetration overall for PvP?
I personally like crit damage. But short term, due to popularity of heavy armor from steelbloom, it’s possible that pen might be better.
@@GrappLr does penetration finally work properly? Because previously there was an issue with it

Hi! So, was it really you on that island?! haha
Which Island?
@@GrappLr Last night on the pvp island in the NW? I asked you and roarrior to kill me to port me back. The level 16 tank next to the destroyed caravans
No more runeterra?
Runeterra has not had a PvP update (new cards) in forever.
It's a dead game now.
shutttering is complete useless :/ 80 % Terrain uselesss not works
You mean scatter shot? It's great at close range charged for pve. In pvp, i rarely charge it, unless I hit vines to root.
