I realize this is a somewhat older video, but I just found this series on your channel and I am loving it!! Thank you for all these great ideas and instructions.
I enjoy your teaching so much. This is a useful and timely video because, I was looking for a way to add somel pieces to be included for the recipient of a journal. This envelope will make an interesting addition and hold a surprise for them. Thank you so much for allowing your viewers to see some of the pitfalls and making examples of various methods of assembly. I enjoy your videos and learn so much from you.
As a newbie, I found this quite helpful. I'm a slow learner so watching how something is done more than once is very beneficial. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to making some of these.
Loving this series! You're doing a great job Tina. I really like the idea of gluing the string to the back. By no means is this boring! Sharing knowledge and ideas is one of the nicest things anyone can do in this jj community. There is so much out there it can be a bit overwhelming. 💜💜
I haven't made these yet. It is always good to make a bunch beacause it helps you remember how to make them and it saves time. It was still good to see you decorate one and see an example. Still loving the series... I know you have more good things up your sleeve... :)
Hi Tina I think the amount of views you've had on these videos show that they're worth you time doing them 😀 they always inspire me to get crafting. TFS, I look forward to seeing what you do in the future 💛
Oh thank you Karen. I have filmed ahead a few more weeks worth yet, so will still be doubting how these will be received, however when I start filming in more real time I will stop the negativity. I am soooooooo pleased that these workshops seem to be helpful to lots of you lovely ladies x
Oh I love these and can see how they would be fiddly. I will do some as soon as I get a smaller punch as I'm not going to be cutting out a bunch of circles by hand. Thank you so much for showing us 2 different ways to make these and how easy it is to decorate the 2nd one. That is how I did your last 3 Mass Making items, all assembly line: all cutting, then all folding, etc., etc. I started storing mine in a clear plastic shoe box from Dollar Tree which works good, but would love something taller for when I get more of the Mass stuff done, I think you have the right idea for photo boxes. BTW, I think you did an awesome amount considering that you decorated one and cute all of the circles and put all of those brads in. ☺♥
I love watching people craft. And usually have a crafting video going while I craft myself. Lot of people try and make shorter videos so the viewer won't loose interest and I find those a bit annoying because I have to keep starting new videos all the time with glue and paint on my hands. Love that yours are a but longer and you also make such pretty things.
Oh thank you, that is wonderful to hear. I know what you mean about the shorter videos, and for some reason it plays videos that I have watched before or, even worse, sometimes something relating to stuff the kids have been watching! Lol x
This is a great tutorial, Tina, and because of your quick, no-measure technique, I’ll definitely give this a go. I LOVE the idea of mass making ephemera ahead so it’s ready to use! Thanks for the inspiration! I think I’ll use crochet thread instead of the thicker string; I have lots (it’s so easy to find in thrift stores!), and it will be easier to wind around the brad. As I watched you, I was thinking that if you have a specific item (card, whatever) you want to go into the policy envelope, you could use it as a guide to determine the body size, then add enough extra for overlapping flaps in the back. I have some photos I want to send to a friend, and I’ll be putting them into a cute, personalized, handmade policy envelope that fits them perfectly, thanks to you! Others have made good suggestions about how to make the construction less fiddly, and I appreciate everyone’s input! Again, thanks very much for sharing your bit of inspiration with us, Tina! 😊
Thank you so much Annie, I love your idea of using the crochet thread, and your great suggestion for gaging the size according to what’s going to be inside the envelope. Thank you for sharing your ideas and i am thrilled that you are enjoying the series x
So happy to have found your channel and...... like everyone else, I adore your mass making videos and great instruction, especially as I am new to Junk Journaling! Im on vacation in Croatia right now and can't wait to get back home to Germany to make some of these! LOL --Kathryn

Terrible isn't it that we miss crafting whilst away on holiday, like you I was looking forward to getting home and picking up some projects. Welcome to my channel, and have a fantastic time on the rest of your holiday x
I think that these are splendid...I prefer the ones with the string under the fold! I know that I would be the one who pokes the hole for the brad straight through the envelope! 🤣🤣🤣 I do so enjoy watching your instructional videos and the mass teaching enables me to truly learn how to make the item! Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh thank you Joan, I am thrilled that the mass making is useful for you. Yes, I know what you mean, it is tricky putting the hole just through the front fold, I like the easy way too x
Really am loving this series, can’t wait to try out making these envelopes, thank you for the wonderful ideas and the chance to craft along with you 🥰 X

Very nice project! I’ll have to give it a try. There’s the saying...”a messy desk is the sign of creativity “! So create away! 😁I must be very creative as well! Lol. TFS❤️
Thank you again for a very UN-boring video. I am thrilled when you embellish/decorate what ever you are mass making because it helps add to the inspiration. One question - since you are putting the string on the back of the card, when you put the card in your journal do you glue the back of the card to the page? If you mentioned this I missed it.
Thank you Susan, I am pleased that decorating one helps to inspire ideas. The string doesn’t really get in the way when you are sticking the envelope down to the page. I am planning on doing some videos on using some of the things that we’ve been making x
I loved your video and am enjoying the series. I did have a thought about the string. I tied the string around the bottom brad, then looped it with the top brad. I glued the flaps closed and it works fine. Just a thought.
Thank you Heather for sharing your tips about the string. I have now started using two circles with the strong caught in between them, it works well too x
I love watching your mass making videos as I'm new to junk journaling and I'm hooked. You make them real and I enjoy your chatting very much. TFS. Niki
Tina, I really really love 💖 this, those envelopes are awesome and amazing and stunning....... and yes you are far too hard on yourself. My desk is worse than yours....... but it’s my room and I’ll do as I like 😃😃😃😃😃 Thank you so much Tina I really really love 💖 watching you. xxx Mags
I love this series, it's right up my alley. I love the mass production/assembly line idea. I have one suggestion, could you please show how the item in each series is used in the journal. Thank you and please don't be so hard on yourself if you don't get done with the amount you think you should of gotten done. Have a beautiful day.
Thank you Eileen, I’m really pleased that this is your type of thing 😊 . I have made a note to do some videos of using some of the things that we are making as soon as I get a chance x
Hi Tina, I just watched Jessica Rapp's video on Simple string Closures. I love her idea of the circle closer's. I think that you will like it too. Also The Boeheim's Craft's channel has a video showing how she use's her Big Bite. Which that's how I learned. You'll have to just go to her video's and there's a picture of the Big Bite in front of her video. I hope this will help you, crafting is always fun when you can make it easier to gets things accomplish. Have a wonderful Saturday Tina!!!
I can't get my cropadile to work either, I found another type of one in the sewing section at hobby lobby, and the eyelets are different.. Works perfect!
So glad I’m not the only one. It punches holes wonderfully, so I love it for that, but it’s very hit and miss with the setting. Will have to look around for something else. I do have a Silent Setter I think it was called, but it’s quite old now, and a bit blunt x
I have to agree about the crop a dile - it’s extremely hit and miss for me too! You are the first one I heard say that so glad to hear I am not the only one! Could you tell me the name of the other eyelet setter is?
@@Judylou09 for some reason sew ology seems like the name. I can't find the info here at home, there is no brand on it. I can't find it on online Try the sewing section
Love these! Thanks for sharing. Just an idea here: how about making your decorate piece but just before you put it on, then add the bottom circle in the middle of the decorated panel ,easier to punch and secure and less string shows, would that work too? Just an idea, kind of a compromise! Anyway either way your work is lovely. And I love building my ephemera basics up¡
Thank you Karen, another great idea which I think would work well too. Anything goes really, just have a play and decide what works best for you. I am so glad that you are enjoying the workshops x
loving your videos Tina ive made the matchbox tablets, also the fold out pocket with the writing bit in the middle also you large pocket of pockets. im finding you a massive inspiration I shall also have a go at these. my only point would be don't doubt yourself so much you are fantastic :) - I have tagged you on Instagram showing you something I made - I know you don't always check Instagram lol

I'm so glad I've come across you here on TH-cam. I'm not really a shabby chic crafter but love all the ideas you bring, that I can easily adapt to my style. I enjoy the real time video's, it feels so comforting when you misplace things or need to snip a bit off, it's just great. I try my best to watch all your video's and of course they get a BIG thumbs up x x Can I ask what colour ink you use when inking the edges of things? Many thanks for the lovely video's x x Here's to the next video x x
Oh thank you so much, I am thrilled that you enjoy my videos. I mainly use Vintage Photo distress ink, but I have recently bought Wild Honey and have used that quite a bit, it’s really pretty x
I love these! I hope you read this after all this time but I have a couple of time saving tips. If you want to thread your string right through then maybe a darning needle which has a large eye would help. The other thing is to stick your excess string & the back of your brads with a little washi tape or some micropore tape. No waiting for glue to dry or worrying you'll catch whatever you insert. I love eyelets but find them tricky to set without mangling them!
@@shabbydabbydoodah I confess if it's just ordinary thread then I have to use a threader too. No matter how hard I try I just can't do it! For string or twine I just use a needle with a large eye, even then I can struggle 🤣 x
Hi, My name is Margaret, I'm using my hubsbands iPad, shh don't tell him 😊. Thank you for this video, I've been making some of these little envelopes, but I've been adding the little circle before I close the envelope up, that way anything I add to the envelope doesn't get caught in the Brad.
Loved your tutorial but I’m saying thread your yarn into a needle then pull it through the hole lol....would stop the thread splitting , i cant wait to do some of these envelopes , thank you so much xx
(Maybe put the circle & brad in only the top piece of paper and adhere the two together so the brad is nestled between the two, and that circle & brad is the one that has the string around it dangling from the top circle & brad from the flap... )
@@Meanne77 if you see how she's sticking the string through BOTH PIECES OF PAPER in the middle of the envelope... go from there with my instructions: put the string ONLY through the piece of paper that is the FLAP and use the circle & brad with it.... but with the brad/circle in the middle of the envelope, i'm saying to only poke a hole through the piece of paper that'll lay on TOP... so when the two pieces of paper are adhered, the brad will only have to go through 1 piece of paper and then be glued between the pieces of paper to create the back of the envelope. there will be nothing for things to hang up on once she puts items inside the envelope (she'd asked for us to think of other ways to make it so she didn't have to cover up the string & brad to avoid any snagging). then from there, read my instructions.
I love this series. Not at all boring. And I like the easier way of gluing the string to the back. I love the decorated one better myself.
Me too Amy, always easy is best x

Hi, My name is Margaret, I'm using my hubsbands iPad, shh don't tell him 😊. Thank you for this video, I've been making some of these little envelopes, but I've been adding the little circle before I close the envelope up, that way anything I add to the envelope doesn't get caught in the Brad.
Oh, fab idea Margaret, tfs s

Lol! This one’s classed as extra fiddly! Worth it, though.
Might be godly, but they sure are great Tina! tyfsxx
Loved your tutorial but I’m saying thread your yarn into a needle then pull it through the hole lol....would stop the thread splitting , i cant wait to do some of these envelopes , thank you so much xx
Thank you x
(Maybe put the circle & brad in only the top piece of paper and adhere the two together so the brad is nestled between the two, and that circle & brad is the one that has the string around it dangling from the top circle & brad from the flap... )
Great idea, thank you and for the picture on the link x
I'm not sure I got what you meant :(
@@Meanne77 if you see how she's sticking the string through BOTH PIECES OF PAPER in the middle of the envelope... go from there with my instructions: put the string ONLY through the piece of paper that is the FLAP and use the circle & brad with it.... but with the brad/circle in the middle of the envelope, i'm saying to only poke a hole through the piece of paper that'll lay on TOP... so when the two pieces of paper are adhered, the brad will only have to go through 1 piece of paper and then be glued between the pieces of paper to create the back of the envelope. there will be nothing for things to hang up on once she puts items inside the envelope (she'd asked for us to think of other ways to make it so she didn't have to cover up the string & brad to avoid any snagging). then from there, read my instructions.
@@ibkristykat Aaah! Of course, yeah! Thank you for clarifying! That's a great idea indeed :)
@@Meanne77 i'm better at showing than explaining sometimes, sorry lol
