Great interview. I subscribed to their channel ages ago and have been following their journey.
Thank you so much for your continued support Nathan. ✌ðŸ¼

@@perrykomick9478 hahaha I won't argue with that.

Well we know Mexico is better for us that's for sure. Though we are looking into south east Asia for retirement. â¤ï¸ That's how we discovered Dan. â¤ï¸â¤ï¸
@@2GringosOnTheGulf I just retired to SE Asia, Thailand specifically. It seems to be a true paradise. It feels safer than anywhere I lived in the US and the people are genuinely friendly and hard working. It is a pleasure to live here. The cost of living is less than half of what I spent in any of 6 states in the US.
@@ScooterOnHisWay2024 We may see you over in SEA sometime friend. We are open to explore more than just Mexico. Right now we have to do what is best for 14 year old Maltese and that is not fly anymore with him, it's just to hard on him. God Bless you and your family sir. Enjoy SEA, we are sure you are. lol 💖✌ðŸ½

Mexico does look appealing!
I've always been curious about retiring overseas, and this video hit close to home. A friend moved to Thailand for retirement and never looked back! The affordable lifestyle and warm community made it a no-brainer for him.
Hola friend 👋ðŸ¼ðŸ‘‹ðŸ¼
That is an awesome story and kinda how we feel.
No turning back now, no matter what. We hope you get to follow your dreams one day soon.
We are just ordinary people, no big bank account. Just 2 people trying to live our best life on a realistic.
budget. Wishing you all the best friend. â¤ðŸ™ðŸ¼
I stayed in Xalapa, Vera Cruz for 2 months. Good climate, cheap and sits at the side of the highest mountain in Mexico. Mount Orizaba. Ulysses S. Grant said Xalapa was the most beautiful place I ever saw in my life" and its climate "the best in the world."[7]
Hola friend 👋🼠👋ðŸ¼
We absolutely loved our time in Xalapa so vibrant, it would be easy to retire there fulltime. â¤
There’s my Gringos! Looking good!
Awwe bro thank you so much. ⤠We hope to see you soon here in Mexico amigo. ✌ðŸ¼ðŸ™ŒðŸ¼ðŸ˜ƒâ¤ï¸
Great Video, and great info!! Just finished my first exploration trip to the Yucatan, very nice! Thanks again for the Video!!!â¤
The Yucatan will always hold a very special place in hearts as we made so many wonderful friends there, the area offers so much from the food to the friendly people and the proximity to the Caribbean the many cenotes and all the Mayan Ruins near by. We plan on returning to visit soon. Thank you for watching friend.
Hola amigos! Jennifer here from 2 Gringos on the Gulf. Hope you enjoy this video
Are you primarily staying in compound type locations, rarely venturing out? How do you stay safe?
@@naps3386 No. We have lived in gated privadas yes but not primarily. We keep safe by using common sense. We are not drinkers or drug users and we don't go looking for trouble. Everywhere we move to in México people tell us how unsafe the area is but we have never had problems.
@@naps3386
That seems to be a common question.
In reality millions of people visit Mexico every year and millions live here with no issues whatsoever.
We have traveled a fair bit in the past 3 years living here.
(Driving our car)
We also know many Canadians and Americans that have lived here for years, (some decades) leading a normal life. Some in gated communities most not.
Feel free to checkout some of our videos traveling around Mexico friend.
Take care, God Bless. ðŸ™ðŸ¼â¤ï¸
PS: Mexico is not perfect but it is perfect for us. â¤
hi Dan, your name was mentioned in a youtube vid as someone who knows how to port out your cell phone number to google voice. could you explain how to do that? thanks for your help😊
Great question @glenn9057, those are the kinds of questions I answer in detail in my free eBook here: vagabondbuddha.com/fire-your-boss-travel-world/
The only change in the next edition of the eBook is I would make is to use Google voice for communicating but use a two factor authentication application instead of SMS texts for banking.
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Dan
Mexican retirement , so year 2000 .. Hahaha... Nope .
We love it there.

Just curious, what is this comment about?
Imho, Mexico is too dangerous in general. While I am sure there are areas that are relatively 'safer' than others, I would not risk my retirement years and life anywhere within Mexico's borders. I spent 20 years living in Arizona & heard too many stories on local news about Americans having trouble across that open border.
Speaking for myself, all things considered, there are several better options in SE Asia. Proximity to the US/Canada (aka: "home") has limited value to me. I am glad this is working out for them & I hope they remain safe while enjoying their retirement years.
Mexico is for sure not for everyone, which is ok. Thanks for watching friend. We are also looking into exploring more of this blue ball we all call home and SEA is one area we are looking into. ✌🽠We wish you and your family all the best brother. ðŸ™ðŸ½ðŸ’–
Another uneducated American pontificating SMH
Luckily there are many choices
Mexico is more than a whole continent than a country. There are countless places safer in Mexico than your US city. regardless the name of your city.
@@capacitacionyconsultoriaes6319 The biggest problem in Canada and USA is the drug use, we don't see that here. â¤ï¸âœŒðŸ¼
