I’ve had a septoplasty! It doesn’t give you a black eye because the procedure doesn’t include breaking the bone in your nose like a rhinoplasty does. A routine septoplasty only involves the cartilage that the septum is made out of. Very rare to get a black eye like Oopma said
It also depends cause I had a rhinoplasty for my air way and I had two massive black eyes so it could’ve also just been a different procedure or she just got a nose job and septum fixed.

Just to clarify lol getting your deviated septum can be done several ways but it’s depends on the severity and what your insurance will cover. I had mine corrected, but it was considered a rhinoplasty “nosejob” because it was not covered by insurance as it was “preexisting” because I was born with it and it was also pretty severe. I did indeed get a black eye but probably because it was more intense than your average septoplasty lol. The doctor also did sort of take the liberty of changing my nose slightly even though I asked not to. And I still have my Roman nose though.
