Biggest Mistake I Made in San Juan, Puerto Rico

- San Juan, Puerto Rico was the second stop on our Soul Train Cruise. I signed up for a walking tour of old San Juan. However, I realized that the tour was to start at 9a and we weren’t arriving until 10a. I had to cancel. At that point we decided to just leave the ship and figure it out. I thought maybe there would be a tourist desk or some kind of tour information at the port. There wasn’t. SO we walked… The walk to Old San Juan wasn’t that far from the ship. There are several shops and restaurants along the way. We literally ended up just walking for about 3 hours. We didn’t buy anything other than water at a Walgreens. We didn’t eat. We didn’t learn anything. I’m embarrassed to even say I visited San Juan.
Learn from my mistake. Either arrange an excursion through the cruise line, or a due a better job that I did of making private arrangements. Subscribe to the channel and stay tuned for my proper San Juan video later this year.

Good advice!
There is a tourist information office at the port. It is located to the left when coming out of the pier….
Thanks!
Nice video. My hubby and I did the same (cruised it to San Juan) which was the first destination on our itinerary many years ago. We arrived at 6 PM and was told we had 8 hours before we had to be back on the cruise ship. A lot of the food places and attractions were closed at that time with only outdoor shopping available so i picked up a few trinkets. BIG disappointment for us but we decided that our next trip back would be by plane so we'd get to have a proper visit. Here's hoping that your next experience is a better one. 😊
You were meant to be a travel influencer!
tHERE IS TOURIST INFO ONCE YOU GET OFF THE SHIP??? DID YOU EVEN ASK??? WHO WOULD JUST WALK AROUND AN ISLAND THEY DON'T KNOW???
