Nice! I grew up watching SG-1 on my dad’s SG-1 DVDs, which was the original box set. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of captions and the incorrect symbols on the box art.
Great collection, I especially enjoyed the laserdiscs of the movie.
Excellent collection. Gotta admit I was surprised by your opinion on SGU. It seems like the reasons you dislike it are some of the reasons it's my favorite of the series. That doesn't really matter though. Fun video and always good to see Stargate get love.👍
Stargate is a great franchise. The SG1 episode '200' is a thing of beauty. I actually really like SGU, after 15 seasons with a similar style the change was refreshing to me (but I can appreciate why fans of the first two series found it so jarring.) I hope now that Amazon has the rights that they do the right thing and get Brad Wright back to not only offer a proper finish to Atlantis and Universe but also to start a new chapter in the franchise.
I love the movie and have been waiting on a new remaster. I wonder if a 4K release will ever happen and a new Blu-Ray based on that.
Stargate is great fun. Unfortunately Universe wanted to be BSG as you mentioned but I still do like the show. I had watched the movie a few times on cable tv before getting cheap Hong Kong knock off dvds for Stargate Atlantis seasons 1-3 around 2008. After watching the whole show I then moved onto SG1. I love both but Atlantis is my fav. I wish they would bring the franchise back and continue from where they left us.
Season 5 was good also. There are a lot of good episodes in there as well like Threshold or Summit & Last Stand. For me seasons 2-5 are what I would consider the best years for SG-1.
