    SOLO PLAYTHROUGHS' MERCHANDISE: www.teespring....
In this episode of Solo Playthroughs, Greg presents his first fanmade scenario, with a playthrough of Return of Apocalypse, a scenario designed by BGG user DrakeSeawood as a new way to experience the Mage Knight Board Game. A 5-headed dragon has taken residence in the remains of the destroyed Red City, giving life to a Spectre Dragon roaming the countryside in allegiance to this ultimate monstrosity. Combining the core ideas of both Life and Death (Shades of Tezla) and Volkare's Quest, Return of Apocalypse presents a unique ruleset giving the player both new benefits...and new obstacles to overcome. Loaded with movement, Wolkhawk's ability to move and explore is without question. But can she amass enough block and attack abilities to ultimately slay this 5-headed beast? Watch to see!

    RULES MISTAKES:
Please see Warlord Drake's note regarding two rules misunderstandings that I displayed during this playthrough, summarized as follows:
    1. There should have been a dragon placed by the White City at the beginning of the scenario; and
    2. The power associated with the Dragon's card should have triggered EVERY turn, even if there wasn't a corresponding die in the Source.
    3. You get the start-of-turn benefit of a Graveyard/Magical Glade if you have defeated at least one enemy there, even if it is not liberated.
Thanks to Drake for providing these clarifications!

Excited to get another Patron challenge on the channel (thanks, Brian!). Return of Apocalypse will forever hold the honor of being the first fanmade scenario to make it to the channel. For you dragon lovers, this scenario might be the one for you! Happy Gaming! Greg

Thanks for tackling this scenario for my Patreon challenge, Greg! And thanks to Drake for putting together a very thematic and cool twist on Mage Knight!

@@brianschultz400 hi Brian! So, all of this is your fault! 😝 Thank you very much for proposing Greg to play my scenario. May I ask why did you choose mine in the first place?

Was really fun! Just really wish I didn't have that one rule wrong - would have been interesting to see how this plays out triggering powers every non-wound turn for the dragon! :)

Hello Greg. I'm Drake Seawood from BGG. I feel so honored you played my custom scenario but even more knowing this is a Patreon challenge! It's nice to know people are liking my scenario, since I haven't received much feedback about it 😅
Before poiting out what mechanic wasn't well interpreted or executed, I want to thank you first for saying what actually isn't clear in the text. I'm Spanish mother tongue, I live in Italy (so the scenario was made in Italian before being translated), so I know translating made me struggling in the process of building all these rules (just guess the mess).
Everything was well performed, except of these two mechanics:
    1. You had to place a random faction red enemy token next to the white city location. I already noticed the text might be misunderstood. This rule is only applied to the red city tile. My mistake. I'm gonna correct that.
    2. You choose Rampaging level, so it means EVERY power is gonna be in play. When you reveal a card that matches the color of a power that is in play, the basic effect is always activated, either is there's matching dice or not. In this case, I think the text was clear enough, because I'm giving priorities by the order of the sentences: card revealed >> basic effect triggers >> THEN, you look at the source of there are matching dice to reroll or not. Again, if this isn't clear enough, I'll be redoing the sentence
I think the session might have been harder by knowing these interpretations (i.e. everytime you reveal a white card, you always take a Wound in hand, only if the white power is in play; everytime you revela a colored card, you ALWAYS get a malus with Rampaging level), but that's OK because I was kinda worried if the text was clear enough and you just demonstrated me that perhaps it isn't.
Again, thank you very much for playing this. If I can contact you somehow so you can give me some tips or suggestion how I should explain how the powers should work, please let me know. Have a nice day, Greg :D

Hey Drake! Glad you saw this and thanks for the important clarifications! It makes sense that the Draconum should be placed at start and that should be an easy enough edit in the rules. As for the second mistake, I looked at the rules again, and that was totally my fault. At some point between reading the rules and actually getting the scenario played, I just got a couple wires crossed I guess. It definitely would have made the scenario harder. I'm glad I at least had matching dice a few times, getting a couple wounds and losing my Golems for a turn in which they would have been helpful. I'll be sure to edit my pinned comment to point people to your comment. Thanks again for designing this, and feel free to contact me on reddit, Facebook, or on BGG if you rewrote anything and wanted a second set of eyes on it.

Nice to meet you Warlord Drake. Get to know this scenario from this channel, and it's very creative. Printed the scenario book and added two overlooked ruling you mentioned. Thanks!

@@peterxu5043 thank you for playing! I hope to receive some feedback from you :D
Just to be clear, in the scenario rules you can find that you may benefit from the Graveyard/Magical Glade effects by defeating at least ONE enemy! (in the case you don't manage to liberate such space in one turn).

Indeed! Never been super opposed to them, but it's just hard to find the time with the way I cycle through games. :)
