    Awesome review, this board sounds perfect for my riding style and I love how it looks. And again those bindings look so good on it - I know I say that all the time, but they really do :)

    weird that the Evo link says it to be a directional twin with stiff flex.

    Unfortunately, they don't make the Uberspoon anymore, because so many people hated it (I guess). I loved it, it was one of the best boards I've ever had, but now is broken betond repair :( They said that the Santoku was the new Uberspoon but seems pretty different, especially softer, which could be an issue for me... But the general purpose seems to be the same: freestyle and fun in powder, mainly. If someone tried the Uberspoon and this one, please tell me if I should buy it. Thanks for the review.

    So, Bataleon Magic Carpet without 3BT? I like it

  • @ukaszmielczarek4173
    @ukaszmielczarek4173 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's simply a brainchild of Elias Elhardt, and a descendant of Nitro Uberspoon which also is a great all around board Elias rode for a few years as his pro-model. Seeing him ride it's obvious Santoku is a bc/pow freestyle board. With the flex and edge hold this board is offering, there are a few things you can't throw it at. Just bear in mind this and the Uberspoon are lively boards(think Salomon Taka x Wolle), so pair it with damp boots and bindings. Pow/fs boards are really fun to do all around shredding.

    How does this compare to the Capita powder twin or the Ride twinpig as a general purpose do-it-all board?

    • @anthonylo2102
      @anthonylo2102 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To give you more info, I am trying to replace my old 2015 lib tech t.rice pro hp 153cm. I am 5''6" 140 lbs. That was a good board overall but it sucks in powder without set back and I am looking for something a bit softer for presses/butter. Your review on the powder twin makes it's a attractive choice except I don't really like that graphics that much 😂. But if there's no better choice I'll still get it. The twin pig also seems like a good choice.
      I am usually feel pretty comfortable anywhere on the mountain. I like park (med jumps/easy rails), trees and moguls, steep runs, and find powder if I can. Don't often charge super fast anymore. And groomed runs are boring. I also have a Burton fishcuit for pow days or cat skiing.

      @@maness2112 Santoku’s design requires upsizing, while general trend is for shorter boards, that’s the problem. Nobody wants a long plank with lots of swing weight for freestyle. Downsizing on Santoku will give you a lack of effective edge and way too soft flex, and this is not what you’d want as well.
      I guess this board will find its followers, it looks great, has positive camber and powder-capable, but it’s not for everyone for sure.
