I rescued my first dog, Sam, almost 5 1/2 years ago. He was found as a stray in Kansas and was subsequently transferred to a shelter in Colorado. Sam is the sweetest boy (with his ornery moments) and I can't imagine life without him. Thank you for this uplifting story!
If I could handle another dog I’d make my husband fly to meet up with him. I’m especially impressed that he logo’d his plane. Guys are more involved with the look of the plane than their own. A real Angel. You can tell by his wings.

My little Ginger came to me from St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, flown to Norfolk on her own plane by Paws From Paradise, a group of pilots who fly dogs from St. Croix all over the East Coast, under direction of Sali Gear, Chesapeake, Virginia.
This story made my day. I love the Dog is my CoPilot name as well. I had that bumper sticker on my car for years. Like Peter, I like dogs better than most people!

I love this story. In Columbus, Ohio, last year we went to the Humane Society to adopt a dog. There was only a few dogs. I can see why Peter flys dogs to other areas to be adopted.
