F250... Smart choice!! A friend of mine is a long time Highway Patrolman. He also owns an F250. He has said more than once, he has NEVER pulled a fatality out of an F250. Very safe truck to drive, just in case anyone is unfortunately in a wreck, the F250 should protect them. Good Luck & Congratulations!! I'm VERY ENVIOUS!!
Sweet . Had a buddy in school grab a Chevy that the fender wells previously modified. Ran 44’s at half the lift of other peoples. Power glide transmission. The 80’s were great . Happy for you
I used to build vehicles for off-road use (Camping to MOAB rock crawlers) in Utah. Just a bit of friendly advice, you need to seriously consider changing the gear ratio in your axles due to the 37 tires. Also, been watching since beginning and you have a great show!
@@Buck762 Howdy Buck, yes, IF, the truck has 4.30 gearing, it should be fine with 37's. Remember, a diesel engine has a sweet spot of around 1400 rpm's for efficiency and fuel economy. I don't know if he got a 6.2 or a 7.3 as both are available. Ford does not indicate that 4.30 is available (4.10) is. Also, it depends on how the vehicle is going to used (i.e. towing in particular). He might be fine based on HIS use. I guess time will tell but I would definitely NOT go to 40's for several reasons.
I read through most of the comments and they are all very upbeat about your new project. I’m happy for you to realize one of your dreams. However this is not why I subscribed to this channel. I hope you get back to the things that you do best, bushcrafting. .
I had one years ago for work, nothing like yours though. I had no trouble with it, whatever you ask it to do it does it. I sold it to a Contractor l worked with and it's still driving around. Good luck.
I am building the 2022 black out Dodge Ram. I have the DECKED drawer system too. It works great for all the tools people think they should have for free from my work truck. I have the Rotopax Gen 1 water can with the can lock where the bottoms connect together. You only need one lock for 2 cans this way. supper easy to use too. Added air lift to the back axle for extra ball weight.
That's an awesome FN truck brother!! The Coalcracker Bushcraft logo right on there as well is sweet. So happy for you bro well deserved so glad you got the truck you always wanted and set it up so incredibly nice! 👍💪❤️
My go to is a Nissan x terra with a screen room that with the back hatch open fits together---slaap in the back with the seat down OR on an air mattress in the screen room. All packs in the back with loads of room
Awesome rig and supper excited for you and the videos coming for it. Very close to the Freedom Tremor but bushcraft edition haha. This has resparked the flame to get my 2016 Ram 2500 overlanded out.
This is awesome Dan! Congrats on the new toy, and salute for being so committed to your vision for it that you got it right to the mod shop. I can’t wait to add a utilitarian vehicular component to my channel and this is super inspiring and something to aim for. It’s been great watching the growth over the years on the channel (watching your back catalog). Thanks for all the inspiring content, and continued success for you and the family. Now I’m off to watch more of your vids of this sick rig! 🔥🔥🔥🙌
👍 F-250s are very good trucks. Congrats on your purchase. A few points: 1) Black is for Ninjas. You have gone Super Ninja 2) Ranchers in NM, AZ, & CO drive up & down the Rocky Mountains Winter, Summer & in between in stock 2W drive Ford F-150s 3) wrapped? Having said that I hope you enjoy your new truck.
Looks pretty good but those big rigs are not ad practical here in Australia. Great for towing but many of our off road tracks are too tight and narrow for them. You guys can legally do so much more to your rigs than we can as well. I do really like the rear rack set up with those tubs, they look much nicer than the metal/alloy canopies we see all the time here.
Dan I wish you a few million of miles and I send out the biggest congratulations on getting the truck of your dreams. I can't wait to see the up coming videos. 🔥😎💯❤️😀👍 Enjoy your new F250 .
It's just incredible what beauty, what atmosphere you were able to create. This is truly a meditative experience watching you. I myself started making videos about my adventures, so I'm interested in everything. Grretings from Belarus tourist. ✌️
Man I've been going back and watching all your vids from oldest to newest cause I'm a city boy and never learnt anything about nature/survival when I was a kid. But I had to fast forward and watch this one right away when I saw the notification and thumbnal. She looks like a beast. You give her a name yet??
Roof top tent…excellent idea , add poles and hardware on the side of vehicle for a large tarp , make it big for small fire and chairs for meetings or social things 👍
This is the absolute sickest truck I have ever seen. Only other thing I am curious about, is the project price tag! lmao I could tell you were super stoked on the truck. You deserve it man!
Dan, killer build my man. My favorite thing....oooh that hard. So much awesome. The wrap where they embossed your logo maybe my favorite thing. Then again that bed rack set up is stellar. Look forward to seeing you put this new rig and gear to use. Travel and Collabs with other youtubers in your future?
Dude since I've heard that Bill Burr got one of these and now seen you that you got one as well.... This thing is awesome. Looks incredible, sounds incredible, awesome utility capabilities and and awesome option for camping if you get a hardtop on the bed. Only downside is that it might be too big for the streets of Germany 🤣
I am building out a F350. Considering adding a rear winch as well since it is sometime easier to pull out of a problem than through. I modified a Swarfworks Raptor rear winch package which is located behind the bumper. Also, ARB air compressor, 2 gallon air tank, air bag leveler for heavy loads or towing, and a quick detach for air mounted on rear bumper for tools.
Been dreaming of building 70 s four by four with hand built cabin in bed every Mechanically operated jack winch etc do it works without power long-term food supply and dpar Spare gas for 1000 mile gas ranges so I can hunt fish and travel the million's of public land acres
Great job. Question: are your steps going to act as your Rock Sliders? Do you have any plans for LED undercarriage lights? Great look and can also help detect crawly things.
Great looking truck and some great mods, I'll be interested in seeing it evolve after you've properly 'muddied' it up. Only thing off the bat that I'd change is the two white water jerry cans and maybe exchange them for a couple of Lifesaver jerry cans but not the blue ones, possibly some coyote tan or camouflaged ones. The white ones look a tad cheap. Anyway, I only stumbled across your channel a month ago and love it. Great tutorials and tips, looking forward to further adventures. Troy 👍 across the big pond🇬🇧
Sorry this is going to be a little long. Well Dan that is an awesome build! The way you got this thing decked out and not finished yet of course you can live in. I think he did a great job on this truck and I know that you're very happy about it, you can tell. I used to own a 1962 F-250 four-wheel drive flatbed, at least I think that it was a1962, and I drove it all the way from Elmira New York Down to Ellijay Georgia with no floor under the driver's seat but we made it. It was a blast driving around in the mountains of Georgia but wasn't so practical to drive to town to work all the time, so I traded it to a friend of mine keyword friend for a 1965 Ford Fairlane to be able to drive into town and go to work with the option 0f trading back when I got to where I could or at least buying it back. Best friend, keyword used it in a small demolition derby between two vehicles and trashed it. Needless to say he's not my friend anymore. You probably didn't want to hear this story anyway but I told it anyway. Sure wish I had that old thing back. Excellent video Dan thanks again and have a great day and stay safe and keep your power to dry!
Since you're a trainer, you understand the value of good training. Can I suggest getting some offroad training from an I4WDTA (International 4WD Trainers Association) certified trainer? They're the best in the offroad world. Whether you've been offroading 10 minutes or 100 years, I guarantee you'll learn something!
Beast. But… why not start with the tremor as the platform… rear locker, front Torsen… skid plates… Course… maybe all of that was in the “pile” to be added?
That looks like the same truck LLOD built and gave away..!!! Loved that truck..!!!
F250... Smart choice!! A friend of mine is a long time Highway Patrolman. He also owns an F250. He has said more than once, he has NEVER pulled a fatality out of an F250. So.....Christmas came early in Pennsylvania. Love to see the excitement and joy in you.
Some serious content on the way.
Take care Dan
Old lady here! I love your truck! Lol I so love your truck! I really do love your truck!
I installed a Titan 60 gal. fuel tank to replace the ridiculously small stock one on my F250. Love the added range.
Sweet . Had a buddy in school grab a Chevy that the fender wells previously modified. Ran 44’s at half the lift of other peoples. Power glide transmission. The 80’s were great . Happy for you

Also, been watching since beginning and you have a great show!
While I do agree, I think that truck has 4.30 gearing. Isn't 4.30 enough for 37s? My current truck sits on 4.10 gearing and feels great on 35s
@@Buck762 Howdy Buck, yes, IF, the truck has 4.30 gearing, it should be fine with 37's. Remember, a diesel engine has a sweet spot of around 1400 rpm's for efficiency and fuel economy. I was wondering about gears as well. Based on exhaust I think it’s the gas version. If it’s got the 3.73 he definitely needs gears.
Good for you
Glad you can afford all that.
Love your new truck...proud of you.
F250 4x4 has Always been a dream.
For a second I thought you won the tremor build that LLOD gave away with his sponsors, awesome build
Cool Truck Dan good luck with it.
Cool truck, man! I’m proud for you, from Oklahoma.
I read through most of the comments and they are all very upbeat about your new project. I’m happy for you to realize one of your dreams. However this is not why I subscribed to this channel. I hope you get back to the things that you do best, bushcrafting. .
AWESOME rig bro! Going to definitely be usingthat setup in the back there, looks perfect!
Very sick truck brutha! Love it
Dan....That is Fantastic !!
I had one years ago for work, nothing like yours though.
I had no trouble with it, whatever you ask it to do it does it.
I sold it to a Contractor l worked with and it's still driving around.
Good luck.
Congrats. That is an awesome looking truck.
Truck looks amazing!
That was smart to radius the wheel wells as opposed to lifting. Thumb up.
Love the truck!
The multicam black looks sharp!
What a badass truck! Let's go camping.
Congratulations. That was an awesome truck. I hope it brings you and your family lots of great memories .
Great work Dan! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, nice work. Tasteful mods. Can you post a build sheet? I'm really curious about the wheels, tires, and carrier
Can’t wait to see it in action!
Look great, there go your father day, birthday, & Christmas. Be safe
Looks awesome
Congratulations! Looks Great Dan! Looking forward to seeing the final load out! Good luck with it!

Nice truck! Look exactly like freedom tremor built by last line of defense!
sick truck bro!
LLOD called… he wants his truck back. ;P
That look amazing!
Nice setup !
Absolutely awesome build and vid!
A few quick add-ons, add a radio (CB or HAM), a. Hammock hitch mount, and maybe a auxiliary power hook up in the bed?
Just curious, why not build off the Tremor package as your base vehicle? I'm in the planning stages of a similar build.
if youre going to swap out wheels, tires, suspension right off the bat, tremor is a waste. This from a guy that has a 350 tremor 7.3
Beautiful truck Dan, awesome
That's an awesome FN truck brother!! The Coalcracker Bushcraft logo right on there as well is sweet. So happy for you bro well deserved so glad you got the truck you always wanted and set it up so incredibly nice! 👍💪❤️
That's awesome! Alone show appearance has been good to you!
Well deserved 😁
My go to is a Nissan x terra with a screen room that with the back hatch open fits together---slaap in the back with the seat down OR on an air mattress in the screen room. All packs in the back with loads of room
Nice Rig Dan👍! If I only the bucks.
nice truck I know I would love to have it .
Love it! Great choices! I know the excitement. Let's see some trips now. 👍

Nice truck Dan!... but why did you not get the suspension lift?... seems the higher ground clearance would be better for the rugged/rocky terrain.
Dan I wish you a few million of miles and I send out the biggest congratulations on getting the truck of your dreams. I can't wait to see the up coming videos. 🔥😎💯❤️😀👍 Enjoy your new F250 .
That is awesome congrats and enjoy
Congratulations, well deserved, it's gonna be an awesome build out, and awesome drive. Too bad the gas prices are not awesome.
Good looking rig excited to see those camping trips but I’m also hoping the regular Bushcraft stuff will stay👊
OVERLAND DAN!
..cool video keep up the great content.. Thank you…
Those question & answer videos. I miss those and the good laughs.

looks like the Last Line On Defense Freedom Tremor
Awesome rig. Going to add a snorkle?
This is the absolute sickest truck I have ever seen. Only other thing I am curious about, is the project price tag! lmao I could tell you were super stoked on the truck. You deserve it man!
SWEET RIDE! I Want do something similar to my 2018 Ram 2500 eventually. 1 thing. Ditch the white tube socks. Lol
Dan, killer build my man. My favorite thing....oooh that hard. So much awesome. The wrap where they embossed your logo maybe my favorite thing. Then again that bed rack set up is stellar.

Rad truck! You have done well for yourself! But... geebus.. I bet that cost as much as a modest house! lol
One word ... COOL
Finally Going " Overland " it's the New Wave Buddy 👋 Make It Happen 🙌
How durable is that wrap going to be over time?
Awesome truck Dan 👌😎
Perfect candidate for a Ford E-250 with a Quigley conversion.

You own a Fooo, Fooo, I can't say it😱
if you can find a shaggy looking chewbacca fur looking wrap, it could be the VanSquatch.
Your the 17th Survival instructor/survivalist to get a Pickup Overland truck......yes David Canterbury you too with your Jeep pickup too.
Very cool 🤠
I love it 👍🏼👍🏼
Noice. Could go around the world in that. 😀
Love it love it
Great job. Question: are your steps going to act as your Rock Sliders? Do you have any plans for LED undercarriage lights? Great look and can also help detect crawly things.
Love it!👍
Is that an 8ft bed?
That was fun, and with the winch on front you're now looking forward to getting stuck in the middle of nowhere😅
How much was the ticket overall? 🤔
What would Henry David Thoreau Drive?
Cool set up, sorry for ur Ford.
