Description:
the application of SPH method;
the use of material models Johnson-Cook with accumulation of damage, the coefficients of destruction, the equation of state and the additional thermal parameters;
consideration of the heating of the blank during the cutting process;
use of contact with regard to thermal parameters of the process of interaction.
Thank you very much for sharing, I have a question for you: I would like to use SPH-DEM to simulate sandy areas with water, and then do I generate SPH particles directly inside the box that generates DEM particles?
for the specified thermo-isotropic properties in minute 8.42, You selected Heat capacity as the value 642, and for thermal conductivity the value 4.7e-5. Then you used the same values to the tool and the blank which are from different materials.
The question is how did you select these values?
In addition, can I know which materials you used for the tool and blank?
Thank you for the tutorial. I have one question - is there a way I can get an ASCII graph for temperature of the SPH over time?
Hello. You can try using the card *DATABASE_TPRINT
Hi, your simulation is great, can you do oscillation simulation using LS-DYNA. Simulate barrel oscillation when firing for example.
Firstly thank you for your great work. I appreciate it. But I have some notes.
In 7.55 minutes, you chose V0 equal to 1 while you kept E0 as zero. However, it is stated in the help that in EOS_linear_ploynomial, 'V0 and E0 defined in this card must be the same as the time-zero
ordinates for the 2 load curves defined in the *BOUNDARY_AMBIENT_EOS
card, if it is used. This is so that they would both consistently define the same
initial state for a material'.
Hi, can we increase the sph number of particles in a localized way for a particular region rather than the whole part?
In assigning the VDC for the contact, you put the value 20 at 11.07 minute. why did you choose this value?
hi i would like to ask that how you set the speed of the tool in this modell? was it setted in the keyword "define_curve"?
Yes
As soon as the cutting tool touches the SPH model, the SPH model disappears. What do you think could be the reason for this?
hi may i ask which kind of units for mass, length,time and temperature are u using in this simulation?
mass - kg, length - mm, time - msec, temperature - C
@@ls-dynatutorials1609 could u please send me this k-file to me ? thanks! haojiang615@gmail.com
Is it possible to simulate ball end milling?
I am getting error as space dimention for SPH set to 3d can you help me to correct it?
Ok. Send me on the e-mail: lsdynatutorials@gmail.com
Excuse me, could you tell me if the system of units used in this simulation are mm, kg and ms?
system of units: mm, kg and mm
ms
@@ls-dynatutorials1609 Thanks for your prompt reply, this tutorial helps me a lot.
Can you tell me how to simulate the explosive welding interface?
Hello i would like to ask that Keyword for the equation of state for the blank(EOS), C1 is which kind of parameter? is it a kind of moduls?
Hi. Thank you, it was useful. Do you have any idea how I can simulate a composite material with SPH in LS-DYNA? Composites have two phases of matrix and reinforcement.
Hello. Why do you want to use SPH for the composites? Usually SPH is not used for it
@@ls-dynatutorials1609 Generally, how can I simulate a composite material in LS-DYNA? Is any of SPH, EFG, SPG, or mixture of them able to simulate a composite target material? Do you have any experience with it? Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Hi
You can used Abaqus to simulate machining of composite material.
Nice work
Thank you
how to setting units system in lsdyna?
In ls-dyna the units system is not setting, the units are set automatically by formulas www.dynasupport.com/howtos/general/consistent-units
@@ls-dynatutorials1609 ok thank you,,
i wanna make cutting simulation in lsdyna. whether cutting tool motion is not rigid. because i wanna see temperature distribution on cutting edge. could u give informatiion please?
@@budiyanmariyadi8642 You need to change the rigid material of the tool to elastic (for example), set the nodal set and set the movement on this nodal set, remove the movement on the rigid tool
@@ls-dynatutorials1609 ok thank you for information. i will try it.
could you give me your email address, that i tried t make tool not rigid for cutting, but unsuccessfull running. the movement of cutting tool was not translational motion. thank you
