Thank you for sharing and clearly explaining your techniques, I’m so appreciative of all that you share with us, you obviously have a very caring and giving heart of gold. Also, I’m so happy to hear that you all participate in the Shop with a Cop program, it truly warms my heart and makes me proud, as my dad’s a retired state police officer and I’m a pediatric nurse. You’re all making such a special and memorable event for children and their family’s in need, so thank you again! Oh, and yes, Barbie’s are still popular, many other toys like the LOL dolls come and go, but not the Barbie line. Mattel’s been top notch about their constant creativity and production of new dolls, clothing and accessories. “Santa Mimi” (me) and hubby/Papa gave our three year old granddaughter the Dreamhouse last year and I was in awe, wishing I’d received something like it when I was a child versus toys that could literally kill you, like lawn darts. Siblings usually ended up with some type of scarring, mentally and/or physically, ask me how I know (I’m the only girl with two brothers, I’m in the middle and was most abused)! lol Wishing you and your family a very blessed and wonderful Christmas and New Year! ❤️

Your story about the family from Puerto Rico reminds me of a story I read in the San Francisco Chronicle yesterday about a family who lost their home in the Tubbs fire (Santa Rosa) a year ago. Rather than rebuilding their house, they moved to Paradise, CA and then lost everything in the Camp Fire this year. Same kind of tragedy, one from water and another from fire.
junebovenzi I live in Sacramento so I know all about the fires you mentioned. The smoke from the camp fire was probably the worst we've ever had here in the valley. I feel so bad for all the people who lost everything including the lives of their loved ones. I can't even imagine. I hope something was done for all those children this Christmas.

Dear Kelly, I love your videos, your coloring and story-telling. Thank you so much for all you do. I don't know if it's just me but I have the feeling you might have something on your camera lens. While you were coloring the bunny his ears would get a bit blurry sometimes. I would guess it's in the upper middle to right area.
Nice cards. I love the colors you used for the foxes. I also am a mom to a boy so I don't know what the L.O.L. surprise dolls are all about but I noticed there are a lot of girl toys that are surprise themed. 🤷
I had never heard of Shop with a Cop until now. I am sure at least our local force doesn't do that--probably none in this general area, either. Shame. There is a similar event for special needs children in our local school district. One of the diagnosticians' brother-in-law is an attorney. Every year before Christmas, he donates $50 per special needs child so they can go Christmas shopping at Wal Mart. The special ed. teachers & assistants, as well as some parents, go as well. The kids can pick out whatever they want, and the adult helpers keep track of finances while they shop with the kids. They have enough adults to have one for every 1-2 kids. Wal Mart sets aside certain check-outs exclusively for these kids during this event, since there are well over 100 of them! Amazingly, there is no mayhem--the kids always seem to stay well-behaved. After the shopping, they load them back on the buses & take them to one of our local churches for a catered lunch, then back to school. My mom taught Life Skills (elementary level) before she retired, and so did this for a few years with her kiddos. A really great experience for them! I do love how your card set came out! Love watching you color, and hearing your explanation as to why you used similar colors across the images. The s'mores one is so cute! I hope you & your family have a very merry Christmas tomorrow! Thanks for the photo of Peanut, too--great job on the face painting! :)

LOL dolls are not cute and I don’t understand it either. But alas I have purchased them
