This is one of the cutest Christmas cards I've seen this season. Very little color but it just seems to pop. I'm a huge dog lover so this card is right up my alley. I cracked up listening to you and Peanut. Brings back so many memories (my son is now 25). He moved out this past June and this will be the first Christmas morning that I wake up alone. :( I wish you and your son a very merry Christmas and a safe and healthy new year.
Oh Kelly, you are so funny to listen to! My Husband and I went Christmas shopping, we ended up having lunch and saw a movie. We both hate shopping! With my Mom, you could say any cuss word under the sun, BUT if you said stupid, you ended up on the other side of the room! Just LOVE watching and listening to you!! Thank you so much, girlfriend!
Love this card, Kelly--your color scheme is perfect! I'd say you rocked the challenge. My mom also hates online shopping. Unfortunately, most of what I want (generally crafty stuff) is usually online only. The past couple of years, I've done a "digital" wish list for her, my brother, & my SIL. I not only listed items, but included direct links to the products. Last year, Mama printed off the list and had a heck of a time. This year, I made sure to tell her NOT to print the list--just click the links. She told me afterwards that she had such an easy time shopping. Just click the link, add to cart, then pay. She grew up pre-technology age (she's 82 now), so just has a thing about doing anything technology-related on her own. I do go to Hobby Lobby, Barnes & Noble, Michael's, etc., and pick out things there she can buy "in person." I generally take photos of those, and include them on my printed list, so she knows exactly what to get. I think it helps her feel better to shop in brick-&-mortar stores. I finished up my shopping today--yay! We celebrate Christmas on Boxing Day with my brother & SIL, so I don't generally wrap gifts until Christmas Day. Good luck getting everything wrapped up, so to speak, in time for Christmas! If I don't "talk" to you before then, I wish you a very happy Christmas & New Year! :)

I sent Christmas cards , there's a mailbox place around the corner from my house, I dropped my cards in one of 📬 es in front. I did consider mailing them at post office which I can also walk to. In this case, it was convenience. Love the card, and the conversation between you and your peanut. So cute. I loved it , I used to work at a preschool and naptime was always the most interesting part of the day. There were always a few little ones who would eventually go to to sleep. Immediately go to sleep, would lie on their cots quietly but still be awake and those that would never take a nap. And these were mostly the transitional kindergarteners. Some of us teachers would tell the kids who wouldn't nap if we had 2- 2.5 hrs for a nap like they did. We would go to sleep. So the struggle is real😀😴💤 😪😴💤

I was told all my life I was stupid by my Mum until one day when I was just turned 60 and I was caring for her she said Heather your not stupid quite surprised. It effected me my whole life with education and helping my own kids with their school work. Even in my 50s at work I hated having to answer questions but I have surprised myself in what I have achieved. So you keep telling him he's a smart little cookie . Super cute card as always! My husband works for UPS. So consequently the Christmas season is very long for us. He typically works 12 hour days and I am fast asleep before he comes home at night. I am glad that Christmas is over and things can slowly get back to normal. Hope you had a merry Christmas!!

Great card! I also love to see that you have posted a new video. I don’t like shopping either - i will plan out the store, floors and driving route and i start at the floor my item should be one and if it is not there, i move to next item or next store and work my way back home (no looking around for something else, just head out). Get home, regroup and try another day. I know, not efficient use of time, but just toodleing up an down isles makes me nuttier. TFS

Also, something you might want to consider doing with the cards and art projects your son makes, start collecting and keeping them in a box and store somewhere like the top of your closet. When he enters his senior year of high school, have them used to create a soft or hardback illustration book you can gift to him, but let him know it’s staying on “momma’s coffee table” until he starts his own family! lol Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year (hopefully you have Christmas Day off).
How precious. The conversation between you and your son will be a cherished moment real soon. It is very frustrating when they get a "mind" of their own but one day they will look at you and say "Geez Mom you do know a lot of stuff". There is a Zig Cartoonist Brush Pen White that looks a lot like a watercolor brush that works great on those little "oops" you make. I have one and love it. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
