The Felder reaction is still pretty hilarious
"48-47 Felder"
Felder: 🤨
He gave an instant "wtf" face 😂
His facial expression could be described as “saywhatnow??”
Felder is one of the realest dudes ever
@@philosopher1130100%
10:57 For reference, Adalaide Byrd is the same person who scored the first Canelo-GGG fight 118-110 to Canelo, which even his camp thought was absurd. This caused what should have been a close decision for Golovkin to become a draw instead
still baffling boxing judges can judge mma
@@poise9995they can’t even judge boxing I don’t know why they’re put in to judge mma
Golovkin definitely won the first fight, not even an argument.
First fights score cards were so silly but it should have been a draw it was close. Considering all the damage Canelo was dropping in the championship rounds. Broken clock is right twice a day
@@Gimmithat491 the second fight was a draw, GGG clearly won the first fight
29 minutes of control time in a 25 minute fight is impressive af 🤣🤣🤣🤣
how does that even happen 😂😂
@@holloway_goat one time he controlled him two times at the same time
@@holloway_goat Just built different I guess 🤣
@@RevJenkins97 lol my guy is a god
Man hugged him on the stool between rounds.
Paddy Pimblet clearly losing 2-1 to Jared Gordon? Khabib losing to Tibau I think? Jones and Reyes? Def could make a part 2, loved the vid guys!
Jones and khabib fans not going to like this, but i'm 100% agree with you on your statement.
Feel like you could have made a top ten list of Diego Sanchez fights alone. Seemed like a 3-4 year period where he blocked every punch with his face and got a split decision out of it.
Still cant believe he got the win against Kampman when his face looked like ground beef 😂
well to be honest its hard to score significant strikes when Diego's chin just doesnt accept them as significant 😂😂 cant compare a power punch on Max Holloway with a power punch on Cody Garbrandt
And then there's Angela Hill who gets robbed in basically every close fight
The big problem is the fact that judging in combat sports is like 85% subjective. It's based on a specific judge's interpretation of the action, which is impossible to standardize.
How about fights that look different on paper like fights like Chito vs Rob font where the damage just doesn't add up to the numbers.
they've done that video before
well, they discussed the Font/Chito fight and how the strike numbers don't match who won. It was called 10 times narratives were proven wrong or something
They did one similar to what you are saying here:
th-cam.com/video/QAw2DbTVHqs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BNKiN4bHnjDwgzOh
I was actually in San Antonio for the Sandhagen-Vera fight. It was my first UFC event and Cory put on a show. When the first scorecard was read I kid you not everyone around me erupted into laughter. It was just so ridiculous how anyone could see the fight for Vera
Apparently the title implications of the Sandhagen/Chito fight weren’t that significant. After getting 50-45’d, Chito got booked to fight up the rankings against Cejudo while Sandman was booked to fight way down the rankings against Umar. Now Chito beats Munhoz and is most likely getting the next title shot over Sandhagen and Merab lmao
Feel like Sandhagen/Vera was supposed to be an exciting standup war when the matchmakers were making it, but ended up being super boring because Corey started using a control based, wrestling-centered gameplan against other strikers. Not that I don't appreciate Corey's skill in multiple areas. Just think that the wins were slow and unimpressive to a large portion of viewers, and that may have set Corey back in regards to a title shot. All speculation though.
@@redbill7154they just want to cash in on the O’Malley/Chito rivalry. Nothing more to it.
@@FuntClaps101 I could see Corey vs Sean being super exciting for fans if Corey goes into it with a game plan that isn't centered around holding him down. He was getting booed during the Font fight, and despite having a good reason for that gameplan, it doesn't earn him fans. Fans and momentum both help a fighter push for that title shot. Chito beating O'Malley in the past/their resulting rivalry is definitely the main reason though. You're right about that.
@@redbill7154the Vera fight he didn’t wrestle much. He did the first round and the other 4 rounds were almost exclusively striking it was boring bc Chito froze and threw almost nothing bc his slow making reads style doesn’t work on a guy that has a chin and a dynamic striking style that he can’t figure out
@@redbill7154 If anyone found that fight boring, it is entirely Chito’s fault. Corey didn’t go into the fight with a control based strategy and to suggest he did is disingenuous. The only grappling heavy round from Corey was the first one which was to establish the threat of the takedown early and he did a lot of ground and pound. Most of the fight he was striking and outclassing him on the feet. Chito had no answer for Cory’s style and caused him to freeze up the whole fight
I believe it was on Rogan’s podcast sandhagen said that the judge that said chito won apparently had an altercation with him one time when they were coaching opposing fighters a while back. He wasn’t accusing him of anything but he just thought it was a weird coincidence
I haven't finished this video yet, but if this fight isn't here, I'd be very surprised
Actually the judge also refs and what (allegedly) happened was on a regional fight that sandhagen was coaching on, an opponent had a rear naked choke under sandhagen’s fighter’s chin but it wasn’t sinking in. Both the fighter and Sandhagen were saying he was good but because it looked bad, he stopped the fight. After that a verbal altercation obviously followed. This is what I was told (I train at Sandhagen’s gym)
Can you make “10 times where the commentary team was watching a completely different fight” because we’ve had some bad ones recently, especially with DC and Cruz’s commentary on the JDM vs Hafez fight
I love cruz and dc as fighters and everything they did in the sport, but....neither one is enjoyable to listen to on commentary. Dc rambles on and is really biased at times, cruz always tries to go against what the other commentators say to the point of delusion. I'd like to see rogan, john anick and bisping as the main roster
@@Rozza2kbisping is the most biased out of all of them
@@calebshep03 and bisping rambles the most out of all of them😂 but i'd still take him over DC
Jan vs adesanya comes to mind
Conner vs Khabib Lol Conner is trying to gas Khabib out by getting mauled XD
Doug crosby: i dont like the scoring criteria so im going to ignore it
You know, I'd like to know which judges are "getting it right" compared to general consensus and media. I don't think it would be a very exciting video to make, but it would be interesting to know who our unsung Steady Freddy's are.
Before watching this the 1st fight that came to mind was Shogun vs Machida 1
I remember GSP vs Hendrix been a odd result too...
I thought shogun won every round. Quite possibly the biggest robbery of all time
there’s so many you could put on this list
@@the_auditor1017 at least Shogun rectified it in the rematch
Haha 3 minutes in and already a Doug Crosby score this could be just a list of his alone
God bless you for that Harlem Heat reference! 🤣🤣
Haven't yet watched but I feel like this list is basically going to be Doug Crosby's highlight reel
I always love all the wrestling references in every Tommy video.
"I am 12" 🤣 loved the Benchwarmers reference from Goldi
Cub Swanson vs Hakeem Dawodu that ruined my 7 leg parlay should be on this list for sure
the judging on that was insane
I was going to hit the whole card.....
@@SaracuraZN sorry to hear that man.. sucks. i was about to make around 200 dollar i think and that call fuckt that up for me
I clicked on this video knowing I’m gonna be in a bad mood after watching this 😂
I remember watching the Felder fight and seeing his reaction when he got a win from one of the judges. A 50/50 mis of sheer confusion and "nice!" 😂😂
I appreciate the WCW wrestling reference 😂
In any of these, could it just be that some judges didn’t know which fighter was which? 😂
I was kind of questioning that myself.
If that's the case its further proof MMA judging is a complete mess. The judges don't even know who the fighter is? Completely inexcusable.
SUPER TEAM UP VIDEO FTW! lol
Loved watching this one come to life and then seeing the details you found when you made it!
Go be a member guys! Changes the experience in the best way when you sometimes get to see how the sausage was made!
I think y’all could make a thousand of these videos. MMA On Point 💯
Ah yes, the biography of Sal D'Amarto
Wild that he’s the only one that got it right in the Chito v Sandhagen fight
Just rewatched the chito sandhagen fight. Honestly, the last 3 rounds could have gone either way. Chito did get taken down in the 5th but neither fighter dominated
5:50 popped me good. Well done fellas. 😂
7:05 Y'all's references are.....ON POINT.....in this one. DAMN! 😆 I was thinking of THAT Stevie Ray the instant his name was said. 😂
Great content!
Your editor is doing God's work putting in all these Top Secret! clips.
I throught it was funny making Bayliun make a video about summer apparel when it’s about to be fall.
😂
The 8 Mile Screen caught me off guard. Brilliant.
Haven't even watched yet. But anytime I see Sal DAmato, Adelaide Byrd, or Chris lee is judging I get super nervous for my bets and the fighter
29 mins control time out of 25? That's mad
The thumbnail is just... Perfect
Change scoring to 0-3 instead of mandatory 10-9/8. Rounds where nothing happens both get 0 points. Close back and forth but one did better 2-1, and for clean sweep of a round 3-0. If someone gets a takedown but does close to no damage but held the guy down 1-0
You've literally just described the must 10 scoring system 🤦
10-10 rounds are possible. Judges are just twats and refuse to score them
2:10 video starts
I'm loving the old nes Tyson punch out text. Top notch.
I remember when scorecards for Strickland - Hermansson fight were read and somehow one judge scored it 48-47 Hermansson people at UFC Apex went "WHAT?". It was stupid judging and and audience basically roasted this judge
I think either a fight is totally one sided or judges will piss of half of the fans
First fight and Douglas Crosby is the judge in question. No surprise he's on this list!
I’ve known about CB Dollaway since 2009 and I never knew his name was Clarence Byron 😅
Are we not even bringing up Jones vs Reyes?! There is no world in which Jones won any of rounds 1 2 or 3 and somehow all 3 judges scored it for Jones?
And Jones meat riders will always contest it. "He won the fight". Like, not in any metric did he win the fight lol He got BODIED by Reyes.
3 was close
I think you misunderstood the point of the video, because you literally said yourself that all judges scored it for Jones. However the point of the video is to talk about fights where the judges had very different scorecards or better said, watched two different fights for same one fight, like the ones in the video.
@@SenorVictor9 The judges did have pretty different scorecards in the Jones vs Reyes fight. What were two judges watching when, in round 2, Reyes outstruck Jones by a pretty significant margin? And then one of those judges gave the very next round to Reyes when he still probably won the round, but won it less convincingly than the previous round. It was a weird ass scorecard from all the judges lol
@@davedanger4414what? The fuck that didn’t make anysense
Mr. Toehold truly is a master wordsmith
Corey - Marlon, a big fight with title implications. Corey won and Marlon gets the next title shot. What a sport
GDP Hendricks needed to be here.
"i am twelve" is a reference to the benchwarmers movie
I’m annoyed Sean vs cannonier isn’t on the list lol
I genuinely think the judges sometimes mix fighters up and just roll with it
"Summer is officially here."
Dude, there's less than a month until autumn.
The Halem Heat joke warmed my tummy.
Where was the footage of this perfect roundhouse you spoke of, in the ad speach? 😅
Part 2 please
greatest fight in each ufc division
figgy vs moreno 1 for flyweight , yan vs sandhagen , swanson vs choi , gaethje alvarez, lawler mcdonald, gastelum adesanya , jiri glover , arlovski vs browne
Do what they do in judo. Score individual actions. Put a number on a strike(light, medium, heavy, knockdown, KO), put a number on a takedown(easy takedown, difficult to complete takedown), and of course the submissions. Threatening someone by holding them in a choke for a few minutes is quite some points, but not so much that they got the finish.
We already have traditions and rules like in judo, since we continue on the ground after a takedown or knockdown. Let's use their pointing system. You need to earn points, not work just hard enough to get the 10-9. And this way, we lose the whole judging per round.
29 minutes of control time in a 25 minute fight is pretty wild
In video ad then 25 seconds of the video then a TH-cam ad. Really awesome. They should start putting three ads in the videos beginning middle end. Or maybe a five second ad every 30 seconds.
Paul felder's live reaction is the best for this thumbnail.
Forgot about Kevin Randlleman vs Bas Rutten
I know back then they didn't have the 10 point must system, but yeah great example. I watched that fight numerous times over the years. While I don't think it's as bad as I thought the first time I saw it, I still don't know how Bas won that fight.
Hold my blinkie "Yeth, ah am twlf...twelve, Mr Man".
You could do a series. Strickland's face was epic just this weekend at 302...
my entire mma knowledge comes directly from this channel lol XD
*it’s literally almost October* baylien: “Summer is officially here”
It’s august….
still think about how Dillashaw - Cruz had a scorecard 4-1 rds both ways
Daron Cruickshank in back to back vids? Let’s go!
The best way to judge a fight: The guy who loses consciousness, gives up, or stops intelligently defending himself loses.
I realised long ago that my mma betting career was not going to take off when I couldn't reliably pick the winner even AFTER the fight had finished 😅
4:03 lol it does the zooms backwards for the fighters and their respective nicknames
After seeing Korean Zombie’s walkout yesterday, would love to see Best UFC Walkouts video.
make a part 2 now
We knew exactly which judge was going to be heavily involved in this video.
I feel like DC be watching a different fight basically every fight. Thank God he's not a judge.
I love the Harlem Heat reference
Most fights I think the judges should have to do a media sit down and explain how and why they score fights the way they do
Lol I totally believe that sometimes these judges just mix up the fighters
Good video idea.
This score is because of bets!! I would not be surprised when someone finds some judges doing underground bets.
Pearson vs Diego on here? Cause that one still burns my soul. Or maybe it doesn't count for the list.
Luke and Max bodied this edit like they were the Dudley boys
I can vouch for the True Classic tees. My son is in high school and growing tall so shirts fit him oddly. The true classics fit him perfect and it's all he wears. Expensive but worth it.
That image of Paul Felder is so fucking funny. Please sneak it into as many places as you possibly can
In the wise words of Uncle Fester, “it’s about damage.”
Ufc is all jacked up right now
Betting the Danny Sabatello 50-45 is #1 on this list. Craziest shit I’ve ever seen.
Watch the MMA Gurus reaction to the Vera/Sandhagen decision, literally said "why am i worried about the judging" before scores were even read😂
The simplest way to fix this would be have more judges a LOT more if 10 judges scored a fight most of the robberies wouldn't happen. Also have them judge in a sound proof booth with a copy of the rules printed on the walls lol.
"Never leave it to the judges"
Was said a lot when I first started watching and will always apply
They always leave out the caveat that sometimes its impossible because the opponent is too tough and/or too skilled to be finished.
There's at least 1 fight on every card where that the judges get completely wrong.
I’m surprised there wasn’t more Chris Lee and sal damato 😂😂😂
Sandhaegan vs dillashaw should be on here too, Corey keeps getting the short end of the stick!
Calvin Kattar vs Josh emmet is the biggest robbery ever in mma
Im surprised Pantoja vs Moreno 2 is not here. That one judge who gave Moreno 49-46 was maaaad trippin.
Wanderlie Vs Hunt in Pride. Hunt looked shocked that he won!!!
Top 10 MMA COUNTRIES!!!!

Its nearly september dude
They need to give out more 10-10 rounds. Nobody likes when a fight ends in a draw but it would be better than what we have now.
yeah like yan vs omalley round 1 could be 10-10 or pereira vs adesanya round 1
Respect for the Harlem Heat reference yo
