Polymer Clay Mokume Gane: Jellyroll Mokume Gane Tutorial

- This is an interesting technique I happened to find on Pinterest. It can bring a whole new look to the technique mokume gane. Instead of using the usual layered technique, this time we'll use a jellyroll as the base of the mokume gane. It's yet another wonderful way to work with Polymer clay.
(I'm not sure who came up with this technique so if you know, please inform me so I can give credit where it's due.)

I think this particular Mokume Gane and the pebble stamp effect is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen and I can't wait to try it out. It's interesting that you ball up the scrap/ shaved pieces bc I usually roll them onto black clay and make another piece out of them.

that was fun, I did better with the cutters than the texture sheet. I think the clay stack was too thin. I am still having a challenge with skinner blends. I can follow the tutorial and still not get it right. I will try and try. It was a good tutorial.
I enjoy watching your tutorials! I have an idea for you, have a while layer to put the pieces you cut off. Then we can see how the flip side will look. Hope you like my idea.

How do you store the veneers.
Do you always use black as your back color, and why?
I tend to use it most of the time. I do this mostly because it's the easiest to use as it doesn't show up dirt.
Can you tell us what colors of clay you used on this one?
Premo ecru, turquoise and black.
If you used gold clay instead of yellow, the second mokume gane would appear similar to a Klimt painting.
where can I find a large roller like yours?
