    Think the big draw with the pistorm is the right and when the get the pass thru for hdmi working properly that will be the killer app

      I think it just needs picasso96 installing, then Hdmi works 😉

    Why aren't you running SysInfo 4.4? I think that has more accurate chip speed numbers.

  • @LukeAGuest

    Emu68 doesn't support MMU, yet. That Phase5 with the black heatsink is PPC and I think it can reference more than the Blizzard 030+SCSI which was 256MB as that is what I had. The max RAM the pistorm can give the A1200 is 2GB. You can also use picasso96 on AGA to get all the chip ram back.
    Is the go drive the same as the GOEX?

    • @8BitRetroReFix
      @8BitRetroReFix  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi .. Yeah, the go-drive is very much like the gotek even uses the same fw .. but a different format pcb to fit inside, keeping the floppy too .. In the next video, I'll instal it and show you 😉

    • @LukeAGuest
      @LukeAGuest 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@8BitRetroReFix No, GOEX, that has the wheel on the pcb which fits into the floppy drive. Edit: Seems it's completely different to the GOEX.

      what can you run on an Amiga with 2GB of RAM? EVERYTHING. ALL AT ONCE. Sorry, that's just mind-blowing. The most RAM I ever had in an Amiga was 18MB. That's over 100X as much.

      @@LukeAGuest
      You probably already found this info out but here goes anyway.
      Where the GoEX is a much nicer version of the Gotek, the GoDrive has the ability to flick between using a normal internal DF0 Drive and USB while still being able to use an external DF1 drive as normal.
      The Go drive plugs into your internal floppy port but has a pass through connection for your real internal floppy, you don't remove the real floppy.
      There's a switch on the front of the GoDrive to flick between the GoDrive and real DF0 and it's real time, no need to reboot.

    Very interesting video, Other then 500Mb in the video what is the max size of the WB partition creation and because I don't have access to Windows machine I've been having issues setting up the SDCard partitions, Linux partition tools are very stubborn at setting filesys type 76.

    • @8BitRetroReFix
      @8BitRetroReFix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi .. you don't need a wb partition bigger than 500mb .. the next partition is the big one ... as far as I know, after Kickstart 3.1 partitions can be as big as you like 3.1 and under .I think they are limited to 4gb... I've binned that idea now and installed the Amiga Game Selector 😉..

    • @off1k
      @off1k 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@8BitRetroReFix
      What version of Amiga Game Selector you running? and what version of kickstart for the AGS you're using.
      Reason I ask is I recently grabbed v2.6 (about a week ago) but it won't boot on my *main* A1200 whereas v2.5 and 2.3b worked fine.
      Now I did try v2.6 on another A1200 I have and it worked perfectly first time.
      I'm guessing it's because of Kickstart 3.2 on my main A1200, the other A1200 is using KS3.1 but I also have Rapid Road USB in my main as well.
      So in the end all I'm wondering is: Are you using AGS v2.6 on an Amiga with Kickstart 3.2?

    • @8BitRetroReFix
      @8BitRetroReFix  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Correct ... 3.2 kickstart chip in my a1200 .. running 2.6 AGS ... ive not looked at wb under ags. it could be soft kicking another version of kickstart .. id ask in the ags group. 😉

    You setup seems wrong in some way.
    I have seen TH-cam videos where with the CM4 module; you can get Sysinfo to show just short of 3000 times the speed of an Amiga 600 and drive speeds of around 23MB/sec.
    Also version 4.4? Of Sysinfo would report "Virtual Amiga", I believe.
    I would really like to see a Pistormed Amiga booting say Debian M68k. I realise that is a big ask though.
