    Can u do a video about the difficulty of achieving a 50-40-90 season

    • @asterisk911
      @asterisk911 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      With the exception of Steph, EVERY player who ever did it achieved it only by attempting a very modest number of 3s. Since a 3-point attempt counts BOTH in the "50" and the "40" part of the stat line, and since NONE of those players (including Steph) shot 50% on 3s, the only way to get to "50" is either by attempting a small enough number of 3s not to bring the overall FG% down below 50%... or to do like Steph and shoot close ENOUGH to 50% on 3s (he shot 45.4% from 3s that year) AND high enough on 2s (56.6% on 2s that year) to make up for shooting so many 3s.
      Look at it this way: in 2016, Steph took more than half of his FG attempts from 3s. If you project Larry Bird, Steve Nash, Kevin Durant, etc., taking more than half of their FG attempts from 3, then EVERY 50-40-90 member except Steph leaves the club. It really is that simple: they all made 50-40-90 by taking a modest number of 3s.
      And in 2018, Curry missed the 50-40-90 club because he shot only 49.5% overall FG%... but if he had taken as insignificant a percentage of his FG attempts from 3-range as Durant, Bird, Nash, etc., did, then he would've easily made the 50-40-90 club.
      Anyway you slice it, the 50-40-90 club is just "Steph plus people who padded their overall FG% by not trying very many 3s overall".

    Alonzo Mourning is super underrated
    1 to 5 on the all time centers list is
    Kareem
    Wilt
    Russell
    Hakeem
    And Shaq
    You can pick the order
    Then
    6) Moses Malone
    7) David Robinson
    8) Patrick Ewing
    Then you can take one of the following
    Mutombo
    Parish
    Walton
    Reed
    Mourning
    Howard
    Cowers
    McAdoo
    Unseld
    Lanier
    Thurmond
    Wallace
    Gilmore
    Ming
    I personally have it as
    1) Kareem
    2) Hakeem
    3) Russell
    4) Shaq
    5) Wilt
    6) Moses
    7) Robinson
    8) Ewing
    9) Reed
    10) Mounring
    11) Walton
    12) Howard
    13) Parish
    14) Mutombo
    15) Cowens

    • @williambohannon6264

      Right. For this year's All NBA, it should be LeBron, Luka, Kawhi, AD, and Giannis, but if they don't consider LeBron a point guard, then 1 of those four forwards would not make 1st team when they should

  • @elijahruderman
    @elijahruderman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's funny that Wilson seemed okay with so many of the selections, but then Deandre Jordan set him off. DeAndre however should've been an all star that year and was the best center that season so. It should be position less, or they should do 2 guards, 2 front court players, and one other player regardless of position.

      @ssirlancelott 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      He was nowhere near the best center bro

    • @elijahruderman
      @elijahruderman 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ssirlancelott No he was. He averaged 13 points on a ridiculous 70% shooting, 14 rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 2.3 blocks. He was the 2nd best rebounder in the NBA, tied with a few other big men for the most efficient scoring big men in the NBA, and the best defensive center in the NBA during that season. He was 9th in the whole NBA that season in win shares for a reason, and he was first among centers in both offensive and defensive win shares. AD missed some 21 games that season, Gobert hadn't broken out as a star yet, Gasol missed 30 games that season, and he was simply worse than DJ by a lot in that season, Demarcus Cousins was never an efficient scorer or an elite defender, and KAT was a rookie. His main competition was actually Hassan Whiteside that season, who was the second best center in that year. So, DJ was the best center in that regular season.

    DeAndre was named to the all-first team as a "flex" from the coaches. It was to say, "we don't like you" to DeMarcus Cousins who'd earned it while at the same time telling Doc Rivers that they had his back. Abuse of power, but there is no perfect system. I was shocked Mark Price wasn't in the hall of fame. By the minute and by team wins he was probably as good as any non-Magic Johnson PG pre 20-teens as there has eve been. It's true that minutes and years do matter, still there are quite a few worse NBA players in the hall. As for Hardaway, it's political, for what he's said. I think that playing politics with the hall is not what the hall should be about but I'm not the committee.

    I think hardaway still isn't in the HOF was because of his anti gay comments. He took it back eventually but the damage was done

    I doubt Price in 1993 was the first PG to effectively split the defense; Sprewell was still a name on the Knicks and Hardaway can't live down his gay-bashing comments.

      Not saying he didn't have the right to speak his mind and have a personal opinion, but when you're a well-known person and in the news, it gets ugly fast.

    This list trash these aren't forgotten players by any means there's just alot of great players in the league. You got multiple hall of famers on this list and players who are now still pretty well known. I'm also pretty sure Damian Lillard wouldn't be forgotten and he's been 1st once then he bashes dj for how the all NBA teams are setup its not his fault it goes by position and the honorable mention is trash lol. Kind of misleading title but I had to watch it to laugh lol
