    Come with me on a journey as we take a look at the images captured by incredible telescopes of the galactic center! You will find out where it is located, how long it would take to get there, what is lurking there and how we will be exploring the region in the future!

      @@randyfernanda2049 I wholeheartedly agree with you 1000% Its not mathematically possible that we are the only advanced form of life, when its 100% knowledge that there is a minimum 2 trillion galaxies, and that only in the observable universe, and that with the universe growing there is light that hasn't had enough time to get to us.

    I can't even imagine how magnificent the night sky would look like near the center of our galaxy, whenever I'm at my summer cottage where there's basically no light pollution I'm always fascinated by how densely populated our night sky is.

    • @alexv3357
      @alexv3357 3 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      And even then there are only about 5,000 stars than can even be seen with the naked eye, and only the very brightest nearby stars are even visible. Indeed, we can't see Proxima Centauri without a telescope

      Unfortunately the center of our galaxy is so radioactive because of how close all the stars are. Let alone Sagittarius A (super massive black hole) but yes it would be beautiful

    • @CrispyOkra
      @CrispyOkra 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Imagine, the majority of what you see in the darkest night sky is within 1,500 light years. The brightest & furthest singlar object (a supergiant star that is roughly 100,000 times more luminous than our own sun) is just over 4,000 light years away. All while the observable universe expanse roughly 48 billion light years in all directions 😳.

  • @TheLastStarfighter77
    @TheLastStarfighter77 3 ปีที่แล้ว +95

    It's a truly terrifying thought that some of these Stars occasionally escape the event horizon of a black hole and get a sling shot out like a giant fire cannon ball travelling at incredible speed's!

    Pretty much the entire reason I play the video game Elite: Dangerous is to be able to see the galaxy from perspectives besides the one we get from Earth. I’ve been to the top of the galaxy and looked down… to the opposite side from our solar system, to Sag A* in the centre, the the inside of various nebulae. All views that will be impossible to see for real within any of our lifetimes. Yes, all a programmer’s “best guess”, but one that’s heavily based on science.

    Thank you for making this video. Whenever I see Scorpius and the Sagittarius constellation I always stare towards our Milky Way centre and wonder whats there and whats happening there and what does it all mean. Bless

    If we were able to see the night sky from a planet near the galactic center.
    Wow, I don't think any other vid has done that before. That was the best part I feel.
