Do we concern ourselves with knowing all the grains of sand on our world? We just accept it as we just 'know it'. We are learning to 'know' the Universe, so we will become less concerned with it as we become more familiar.
Most of the universe is empty space. Take into account that most matter at the atomic level is also empty space then it becomes even more empty. It is so empty that statistically matter is almost nothing compared to emptiness. So basically the universe can be said to not contain anything at all, statistically.
😁be careful, these "empty space" isn´t so empty at all... there are dark matter (the glew), dark energy (the expansion force), plasma and dust, anincredible amount of neutrinos, atomos, neutronos, protones... There is so much magic in form of a lot of "invisible stuff" around! 😉
Density fluctuations make for clumping, but does not necessarily have to mean a completely empty space. Even if it's just the higgs field within the void, it's not a true vacuum.

My mind can't comprehend how far a light year is so I googled it a light year is 6 trillion miles, bloody hell 6 billion light years OMG I just can't imagine how far that is.
Nothing like being scared by a Big Old Void right before bedtime. 😉 As far as why the cool spot appears cooler than it should, I've often wondered whether photons experience a sort of drag exerted onto them by "empty" space itself. This would make them slightly less energetic, hence "cooler". When this is finally confirmed, I want a share of the Nobel. 🏆
Such a mysteriously beautiful video. Closest I’ll get to exploring the universe in our age. The interstellar viewing of space always without a doubt leaves me in absolute awe✨ There’s so much to discover & learn. A lot of others get diminished by the shear thought of how big our universe is, but I get so engaged to it. Humanity is old enough to have explored our planet but far too young to have traveled beyond our solar system. I wish I could be alive to see that come to fruition. Great video guys! It was well worth the wait!🌌
Happy New Year Kosmo , glad you're back, my mind is being refilled again, it probably takes a while to get back from the other side of the Universe , I know how hard it is to get a cab to go south of the river !!! Thanks again. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
Reminds me of the bigger question: the universe is expanding into what exactly? If there's no matter or space/time beyond the edge of the universe (ostensibly), then... what's there? The answer might literally be "nothing" in the truest sense of the word, but I'd have to ask, could we perceive "nothing". I guess it would just be blackness devoid of matter and time and space, but even then, how could you actually tell? If you cannot touch it, smell it, see it, hear it or taste it... what is it?
Great video! A lot of interesting information! And no useless talks and conversations with weirdos. Straight to the point. This channel deserves a lot of respect for videos which tell us exactly what is in the title "What Was Discovered Beyond the Milky Way?". Keep up the great work!
I always find it interesting when some cosmetologist says there might be life in another galaxy somewhere else out there.. haha You think? There's probably life all throughout our own galaxy. Look how resilient it is. I'll bet this stuff is everywhere.
Very nice video "Kosmo" and the interesting topic of voids, thank you! All of these incredibly large structures in space suggest that there must be other enormous external structures in the entire cosmos (universe, multiverse, megaverse). Our universe alone is actually far too big to be just one universe. I'm starting from a different theory, I think our universe consists of several so-called pocket universes (more or less the size of a supercluster, like Laniakea), which would also quite well explain the different expansion speeds in the different parts of our universe /multiverse. But we actually still know far too little to make a reasonable overall picture of all cosmic structures; it's all simply incredibly gigantic and a bit complicated in some parts...
It's content like this that made me fall in love with everyting to do with the Universe many years ago on TV with a show called 'Cosmos'. This gives me that feeling that Karl Sagan's Cosmos did. I pray and hope that your channel grows to a larger audience. This is now my favourite youtube channel for anything related to the Universe. Thank you for sharing your amazing hard work with us ❤❤🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜🤎🤎🖤🖤🤍🤍
Hmm the limitations of a universe's expansion, found in or beyond the voids, aside from the disappearing edges of what has already expanded (the volume of space) beyond the visible edge of the known universe, voids could either be a space between other universes if their distances revealed that shape of the universe or if they were uniformly distant which could better imply a space between universes. Or on the other hand it seems less likely to be massive voids or dark clouds of matter/energy where gravity is not playing its role or by the rules where a matter filled void would be otherwise gravitationally filled with galactic clusters. We should be able to calculate that over a given period of spacetime, that a certain volume of space has expanded beyond our visible horizon.
Really great documentary. Lots of images that really give us a picture of the shape and scale of the universe. The narrating voice is pleasant, though it can sometimes sound like AI.
All these prove to me that there is a designer. Without a designer, all these things could be colliding into each other. Those distances do not make any sense to me.
The universe is so vast, if we somehow are able to travel at the speed of light, the limit of our travels would be just the local group, everything else is unreachable because the expansion of the universe is faster than the speed of light. We would need to fold space to travel any further. That goes to say that everything that occurs outside of our local group doesn’t concern us at all. If the vacuum decay is already happening outside of our group, we don’t even need to worry about it.
We are going to travel faster than light just add some acceleration for some time in vacuum nothing can stop us. Light or photon is limited to magnetic field of universe but the matter is different story.
I absolutely love your channel. Very informative, great script and well done videos. I just have one question. Where is that accent from? I watch your videos but occasionally get distracted by it. 😁
The Void could be hiding thousands of rogue planets, and no one would ever be able to detect them. It should be equally impossible to find "black holes" inside the Void. These rogue planets could still harbor life, even though they have no star to orbit, and are pitch black and near ab. zero on the surface. But as long as the molten core is still active, life could still exist on them deeper down in the earth or in sealed bodies of water.
21:14 the void (billions of light years away) "is mysterious and dangerous" Mysterious for sure but dangerous, lol? How is it dangerous? Oh, if we went there we wouldn't have a place to refuel and replenish our water tanks! Got it!
a big bang doesn't go 2 or 3 dimensional, we can only see from where we are but the bang goes also all other ways. so galaxies move faster by the speed of light only cause the position of observator.

It doesn't exist and has to be created by the expansion of the universe.
