Thanks for this lovely video! Since I'm watching it in spring, I'm not ready for the autumn. I'm more ready for the summertime. But I love autumn as it gives a lot of inspiration. Our greatest poet Alexander Pushkin adored this beautiful season. My favorite autumnal vocabulary is: falling leaves, harvest and bright colours of nature.😊
I love watching the falling colourful leaves outside. It looks truly beautiful🍃🍂🍁 But l missed the snow❄❄❄ Maybe, in the future, you'll post a lovely English story about Winter? I hope so😊 Thank you.
It's great when you explain some new words like this at the end of your video and you say each word several times so we can repeat after you and practice pronunciation, i wish that you will do this with every new video :)) thank you for another great video.
Thanks. Autumn is mild and warm here. I like breeze and cloudy weather. Such a autumnal weather fits my soul. England is famous for its fog. That is why it is worth to travel to England.
Autumn is my favourit season every thing feel like new and fresh .it gives us new breath and in the nature I like seeing the birds flying off for the winter abroad it captures the emagination really .I like the breesy warm days .I ve noticed that the days become shorter than they were in august obviously .the leaves on the street are facinating actually the best autumnal picture .
Yes I am ready for autumn but my favourite season is summer,I really love it.However I like Autumn, because there are some special things. As well that things are changing ,it’s magical.Yellowed leaves are slowly falling to the ground.Everywhere seems orange ,it’s beautiful…..💐
Actually, I'm from Myanmar 🇲🇲. So our country has no Autumn. We have 3season; Hot, Rainy and winter. But I love Autumn, even I can't feel this season, and I want to see Mavel leaves . It's so Beautiful around the stree.
Autum is here in México is crazy here, some days are sunnies, others cloudy and rainy, the morning it's.cold, the midtday it's hot and the night it's rainy 😵🤭
Hi Joachim, Our last story "The Curse" is B2 - C1 (level 4 - 5). We try to mix things up. So, sometimes the stories will be one level, and others the vocabulary might also include some of a higher or lower level. So you'll see a mix being uploaded.
Hi Joachim, Thanks for your feedback! The vocabulary we explained at the end was all included in the story... we just decided to add in a few more autumnal extras :)
Hello Konstantin, Yes, we use this form in modern British English a lot. So this sentence could read “didn’t use to be…” or “didn’t used to be” or if we wanted to be quite fancy or proper, we could say “used not to be” but that is very old-fashioned and people don’t speak like that anymore.
@@LovelyEnglishStories Can't agree. The basic pedagogical approach tells to use the infinitive after the auxiliary. Did not USE to... is a universally accepted grammatically correct variant. That's what I've been teaching my students for years. Cambridge Dictionary also gives preference to the infinitive after auxiliary. Other variants may bring confusion into learners' minds, and they start make mistakes in their exams which is pretty undesirable. IMNHO.
@@KonstantinEgorovSpb Hello! Thanks for your reply. Yes, all you’ve said is true and stated clearly in the Cambridge dictionary. However, we write stories and we highlight that we use language that native speakers *really* use in everyday conversations. As Cambridge states “The negative of used to is most commonly didn’t use(d) to. Sometimes we write it with a final -d, sometimes not. Both forms are common.” Of course, in exams it’s better not to use the -d as students *might* lose a point, but in everyday situations and conversations you’re more likely to see and hear used than use (though they sound very similar). Thanks for highlighting!
