That's true, to me it looks like the focus on snowboarding is towards technicality and spins rather than big powerful, yet simpler, jumps. I'm not dissing this, its amazing, but I like looking at huge tweaked grabs and big slows spins, more than super technical tricks.
1260 was a pretty close call. Definetely a all or nothing run, and he nailed it bang on! I defenitely get what pithaya is saying. I also think that the X Games focus is focussing too much on going huge. There is not a lot of room for style within this competition. If you can't nail a 900 properly you don't even have to think of participating. Nevertheless I'm blown away by the determination he shows in this run. However, as sick as it is; I also prefer stylish grabs and corks over this.

The ORIGINAL McTwist was by Mike Mcgil (bones brigade) and it was a 540 INVERTED aerial. IE upside down. Now argue all you want about whether Shaun landed or whether he completed what ever part of this run. He did not do a double McTwist. Its impossible.

@larryjerry1 pretty sure skateboarding would be way harder to 1080 than snowboarding dude skateboarding your not strapped in. i don't even think anyone has landed one in skateboarding yet, shaun white has attempted it but i don't know if he landed that was a sick as hell run though

He didn't 1260 he 1185 or something like it because he landed on the side and turned back to straighten him self and I'm not saying he can't land it or anything I'm just sayin he didn't land it there
Has any1 ever noticed how Shaun White always claims the pipe, even when his runs arent that good, and other riders have done better? He's always ending his runs by "I'm the best, ooo that run was so fucking good, ooo did u all see what I did there blah blah blah". He IS good, but I've seen competitions where it was obvious he shouldnt have won at all.

Just because he's not AS good as Terje doesn't mean he's not good "at all". Watch First Descent, he's doing great in back country. Way better than 99.9% of the snowboarders on earth ever will. So get over yourself.

@blubb1337331 He does 3 full 360 and a 180 ∴ 1260. Note that he takes of facing uphill and lands facing downhill, and that's the 180 skid at the end.
