Just had a thought, what if instead of eating electro in a deck. What if you send them to your opponents side with viper. So you get the bonus energy and they get stuck with the ongoing effect of only one card per turn
Unless you get a project pegsus playing electro into viper turn 4 is a waste of 3 energy and worse than say into panther into arnim moreover most decks have doctor Doom, chavez, devil d etc..
Or lots of discard in hand with no Hela or even Morbius, or destroy deck pieces without the destroy cards, or just the low strength combo pieces without the payoff cards, there's so many possibilities why a certain hand with District X popping up can suck, I sometimes retreat when it sucks too hard.
District X is not symmetrical. I can't tell you how many times I've gotten utter bunk from District X while my opponent gets a wonderful selection of cards that augments what was already in their hand. Same thing with Triskelion. On the other hand, I think Weirdworld is really fun, because it rewards you for knowing many different types of decks and understanding how to play them.
Watching that first game, if that was really your only win condition available, I guess you could have made it 1-in-8 (instead of the 1-in-12 you hit) by playing Lady Sif into the left lane, reducing Wolverine's landing spot chances to 1-in-2 (right lane).
Also Rickety Bridge is end of turn, Dark Dimension is end of game. End of game happens after end of turn. Even if Dark Dimension were the left location and Rickety Bridge were the right, Giganto still wouldn't get destroyed.

at 24:02 my guess is opponent was playing agatha and after district x rolled up they had no way of getting rid of agatha which is why they retreated

I don't think the Giganto gets destroyed. Locations resolve Left to Right and Rickety already resolved before Dark Dimension.
