Kevin Barrett I couldn’t have said it better myself. My 11 pro max happens to be my first ever iPhone. The 11 is indeed the better value but I didn’t want to take the hit in screen resolution and I figured that I might as well try the best if I’m gonna switch. I’m completely satisfied.

I love my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I have not had a new Apple iPhone sine my iPhone 5.. This is a huge upgrade for me as well as we got a great deal of buy one iPhone and get one iPhone for free.

I'm gonna let y'all on a little secret, I have jump on demand so I try phones as I like. The iPhone 11 is the better buy. Now unless you don't want LCD or the battery is a big turn off then stop reading...forward going I've tested the iPhone 11 and compared to the XR, the iPhone 11 tops out at 5x zoom, if you're kind of steady holding s phone, you will be surprised at the photos. At 5x it almost looks clear! Almost as if you have 5x lossless zoom. I tried it up against a pixel 3 and honestly the super res zoom would process worse photos than the 11. Now unless you will be doing true zoom then go for the pro. But if you're only going to do some minor zooming, the iPhone 11 has it. No need to spend extra for the extra camera.
Yea with no 3rd camera and the 11 pro battery is WAYYYYYY better .. the batt be lasting from 8 in the morning until 9 at night while still having half of the battery at 9 at night ... then I went to sleep didn’t put it on the charger and it STILL had half a batter the next day 😂😂

Opinion is all relative. I wouldn’t fret over this kind of title. You could make someone feel bad for buying a 100k Mercedes Benz when a 30k Ford does the same thing. If you can afford it and you enjoy it it’s worth it. I was pondering buying an iPhone 11 but ended up with 11 pro max. The OLED screen, telephoto and epic battery life is what did it for me. Worth the extra? No. But you gotta pay to play unfortunately.

Went for the 11 Pro Max for screen size, brightness and the additional camera. My justification is that I'm not just buying a phone, but a camera as well. The battery life is awesome. Very happy so far with the Pro Max.
Had my iPhone 11 pro max since launch (a month now) and yes the battery life is incredible. There’s nights I go to bed at 30% because I forget to charge it. Go to work the next day and come home to about 15% (obviously because I’m at work and don’t use my phone much while working) but for going 17 hours w out charging and getting home to finally charge it to full battery in about a hour or less. It’s amazing.
Yuck that display on iPhone 11 looks horrible next to my X. I recently went to Apple store to compare the difference as I wanted to buy the 11. And IMO, I’ll keep my iPhone X all the way. Display matters to me more than camera. You have to look it every time man, and those big bezels and 720p display on 11 sucks..
Great video. I upgraded from my XS Max to the Midnight Green 11 Pro Max and I must say that it’s a great phone. I will say that if you can afford it go for it, but if you can’t then the XS and the XR are still great phones.
I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max. No regrets whatsoever. I'm a photographer, so the addition super-wide angle camera was the deciding factor in the end for me. I've always loved the way iPhones take pictures and the best camera apps are found in the App Store. Besides the ecosystem, that's been one of the main reasons I've stayed with Apple phones. Battery life on the 11 Pro Max is crazy good and the fast charger is the cherry on top. That said, I respect the conclusion @JSL Review came to. Overall for most people, I'd think the 11 definitely would definitely be the better value. Shout out to sweet home Chicago.
I have the iphone 11 pro max Hong Kong version and its very great... it’s a perfect phone for me.. from camera to battery, display and even the design.. I’m using it for a month now and i still love it like the first time i use it..

Darth Bukowski dude if you got the money and you’re all right to go all out, the Max will be great and you’ll love it. But if you want to maximize your dollars, the 11 is the way to go - and I’m fairly confident you’ll be very happy with it!
JSL Review , yeah I wanted to stretch my dollar so I could get my wife the Apple Watch 5 for our anniversary this month. Your reviews and advice have served me well these last two phone purchases. I went with the Red 11 64gb basically because I love that red and with Apple Music and cloud storage for pictures I need nothing bigger. If I mobile game it’s with my handhelds or Nintendo Switch.
I’ve had both the 11 and now the 11 pro max and I would recommend the 11 because to me for the 699 phone 11 is good enough for the average consumer. Performance is the same from what I noticed and the iPhone 11 for an lcd display is still really good while images on the pro make details pop a little more and blacks are blacker and whites are whiter you only notice when sitting next to each other. I still love my pro max I have but not positive it was worth the extra 300
In my country they're even more expensive than that lol The 256gb variant for the pro Max is about 1450€ which is north of 1600$. It's just too damn expensive, and even if I can afford it, it's hard to justify spending that much money on a freaking phone. I wanted to try iOS this year but I think I'll stick with my S10+ or I'll get a OnePlus 7t instead.

Screen, battery and the materials are reasons good enough for me as to why I've went with the Pro Max. Have had it for just over two weeks now, I don't know what buyer's remorse is with this phone. I am very critical with it, tho, and have found numerous issues with iOS. Apple, get your fucking shit together (although 13.2.2 has been much better than 13.2 right now)
No 3D Touch was the deal breaker for me. Went from iPhone 8+>XR and I didn’t think that I would even miss 3D Touch... well I was wrong. Sold my XR, even went back to a 6S+ temporarily until I could get my hands on a XS Max. Went to get the 11Pro and decided right there in the store that it wasn’t worth the price and upgrade coming from the XS Max. Battery life is great on the XS Max. Hopefully the 2020 iPhone will include 3D Touch and 90hz screens in the “Pro” models.
I’m considering an upgrade in the next couple of months -my network contract is up for renewal, so it’ll be a free upgrade. I currently have an iPhone X. My wife has just got a yellow iphone 11 and loves it. I’m an Apple guy and had various phones since 2007 (the original one), MacBooks, iPads, etc, etc. HOWEVER... it’s the software/eco system that is making me consider jumping to Android. I did have a couple of Android phones around 2014 and switched back to Apple. Since iOS 13, I have been seeing numerous bugs and badly written software (well documented), along with the iCloud syncing issues and many more issues, that have been in the press/media. I sure Android is not without it’s issues and I don’t like Google privacy, etc. On my iPhoneX I have moved all my Apps to Microsoft - Outlook, ToDo, Edge, Onedrive, etc and seen ZERO issues on my current phone. Yet when using iCloud, Apple mail, etc, I am seeing issues. I see some advantages of going the Microsoft app/storage route - as they can be used on Apple devices and Android ones. I just wish Apple would go back to reliable software!
I have the iPhone Pro 256. My niece, who is also a photographer, asked my opinion on what she should get. I told her to get what I have. She went with the 64. For my brother, who isn't a media pro, I recommended the 11. They're both happy. Point being, if you know/care about the standout features of the Pro (Battery life, Oled Screen, Extra Lens) then that's what you should get. Otherwise, the 11 is best for everyone else.
DPhoto photographer people laugh about the smart learning Cams, a big joke if you got skills to do portrait blurring on DSLR lenses... Pro Bro? If you do Fancy GUCCI levels online media, this is your iPhone, shine on TH-cam! Showoff digital bright HDRX! Normal people never do that, one online picture is enough... OLED is never near rec.2020 levels needed for photographer people, calibrating, the 11 is better, but looks less fancy........Xr too! iPad is the better solution next to your DSLR, easy to upload pictures online, some basic editing too....
@@lucasrem There's a time and place for it all. I've been shooting professionally for 20 years. I use Nikon D850's with quality glass and I know how to control light with professional results. So relax. I'm not suggesting that a phone will take the place of a Pro cam. That said, I love to have this tech in my pocket to compensate for when I don't have my professional rig in hand. Don't like it? don't buy it. Anyone who laughs at it, doesn't get it.
I got the 11 Pro. The Max version was too big for my purposes. The 11 would have served the job too, but I typically buy a phone every 3-4 years and wanted something that ticks all the boxes and the 11 was not it.
To be honest I get why consumers go for the Plus/Max/Pro Max models. It is the premium but what I had to stop falling into was, Will I ever use my phone without a case to appreciate the premium feel? No. Will I ever not carry my portable charger in my bag? No. Will I ever not utilize my charger in my car? No. Do most people use the 2x zoom enough for the price difference? No. We as people get caught up in the hype way too much. Now if you make your money based on your phone will that is considered an expense....cool. There are way too many people doing regular everyday things and is not worth the price difference. I came from having Plus models and last years Max model. I currently own the iPhone 11 and I have to say it was the BEST decision I’ve made. You don’t need ridiculous price tags to consider a device AMAZING #mintgreeniphone11
Good review, FWIW, many people simply feel they are entitled to “the best.” For them, there is significant extra value in the pro model, similar to having a Rolex.
I got the 11 and its a great phone but... just a bit boring and not polished. But its $600 CDN more to buy and is it worth it? Wrestling with exchanging for the Max.
I switched from Android after many years of using it. I got the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB and I'm in love with it. There are some UI things I don't like about iOS but overall it's a great phone. I'd recommend people to give it a try.
The Flicker of these oled screens is torture for my eyes. I don’t know how it doesn’t bother others. I had to stick with the 11 for the lcd. I wanted the Pro Max, but strains my eyes. If you guys don’t believe me record your phone’s screen using another phone is slo-mo and watch the video back. It’s amazing it doesn’t give people seizures.
I had the 8+ and ended up with the pro max with the Black Friday deals. Damn son all I have to say is if you can get a deal on it go for it, it’s the best phone I’ve ever owned.
Brighter screen (for outdoor use or HDR viewing), larger more immersive display, larger possible storage, practically eternal (well, not really but if feels like it 😉) battery life, and telephoto (which I surprisingly use for more mundane things like label recording where - also surprisingly - Deep Fusion kicking in drastically improves things). If you can comfortably afford it, and the size doesn't bother you go for the Pro Max. If not, the other 11s are great too. If you're in the iPhone Upgrade Program, it makes the purchase much less painful.
This phone is absolutely beautiful but that notch is the reason I’m still with the XS max. I felt that it wasn’t worth the upgrade. Hopefully next year they will reduce the size of the notch and maybe introduce in screen Touch ID. Now that would definitely be worth an upgrade.

They should make a iPhone version of the Samsung Note phones with a mini apple pencil stylus. Would make the "pro" and "pro max" actually feel "pro". As an artist, the stylus with my Note 9 is amazing and is the main reason I wont switch. If apple did this, I'd switch to an iPhone in a heartbeat
I'm moving to my first iPhone (11 Pro) after having using nothing but Android most of my adult life. I'll be trading in my Note 8 as Samsung will not be upgrading a 2-yr old phone to latest OS. I'm fairly bitter. I really like the Note but it's not a small phone and considering the Pro Max has almost the same measurements but about 20% heavier? I'm downsizing. But I still need that OLED of the 11 Pro. Should be an interesting ride.

The camera is a huge upgrade for sure. The battery life is amazing. And finally we get a fast charger in the box. This year's upgrade is way way better than last year's upgrade. Last year was a meh. Sure, there was a bigger version of Iphone X. But honestly that's the only thing they had to offer. Everything else was just little to no upgrade.

I tend to agree with you. The daunting cost EVERY SINGLE YEAR of the top model makes me hesitate a lot this year. And what about next year and so forth?... Truth is, I bought th Xs and quite frankly was appaled by the weak performance in low light. A while after I went back to Samsung and the cameras on my Galaxy S10+ are awesome - the iPhone only got near that now with the 11. I wonder about 2020 now...

I’ve bought the 11 pro, it’s excellent especially in camera and battery, plus stereo audio, but I doubt it’s worth $400 more than the 11, but I can’t say for sure because I haven’t used the 11. I’ll have to take the experts word for it.

Well, do you really think i won't miss the Telecam? I'm really not sure about it. The problem is, that i like the Midnight Green. If the 11 would bei available in a Metallic Green (or Blue or Gun Grey) , i will buy it. But there's only the black one for me and somehow it is boring. I should’ve Boone with the 11 Pro and not the max 512... having issues. Icons disappear storage is saying it full, when I had the iPhone X 256 GB everything I had on that phone is transferred to this one and therefore I should have at least close to 256 left of space. I’ve been through twitter chats with At&T and Apple. My ivloud backup storage of my iPhone X is 46.1 GB and Apple informed me it should fit into 512. But that’s not the case. I’m disappointed in myself. I knew better than to go with pro max. Still trying to figure out what’s next. I may have to go down to the Apple store... 💔 thanks

Great video. I upgraded from my XS Max to the Midnight Green 11 Pro Max and I must say that it’s a great phone. I will say that if you can afford it go for it, but if you can’t then the XS and the XR are still great phones.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro Max. No regrets whatsoever. I'm a photographer, so the addition super-wide angle camera was the deciding factor in the end for me. I've always loved the way iPhones take pictures and the best camera apps are found in the App Store. Besides the ecosystem, that's been one of the main reasons I've stayed with Apple phones. Battery life on the 11 Pro Max is crazy good and the fast charger is the cherry on top. That said, I respect the conclusion @JSL Review came to. Overall for most people, I'd think the 11 definitely would definitely be the better value. Shout out to sweet home Chicago.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro, no max and I’m very happy. Also The battery its incredible, the only thing the last year made me chose the bigger version of the phone.
The pro max is way too big. I would have been fine with the regular 11. I ended up getting the 11 pro because it’s a little smaller lmao

Darth Bukowski dude if you got the money and you’re all right to go all out, the Max will be great and you’ll love it. But if you want to maximize your dollars, the 11 is the way to go - and I’m fairly confident you’ll be very happy with it!
JSL Review , yeah I wanted to stretch my dollar so I could get my wife the Apple Watch 5 for our anniversary this month. Your reviews and advice have served me well these last two phone purchases. I went with the Red 11 64gb basically because I love that red and with Apple Music and cloud storage for pictures I need nothing bigger. If I mobile game it’s with my handhelds or Nintendo Switch.
I’ve had both the 11 and now the 11 pro max and I would recommend the 11 because to me for the 699 phone 11 is good enough for the average consumer. Performance is the same from what I noticed and the iPhone 11 for an lcd display is still really good while images on the pro make details pop a little more and blacks are blacker and whites are whiter you only notice when sitting next to each other. I still love my pro max I have but not positive it was worth the extra 300
It's worth extra $300 if you care about battery life, display, and the third camera.
In my country they're even more expensive than that lol The 256gb variant for the pro Max is about 1450€ which is north of 1600$.
It's just too damn expensive, and even if I can afford it, it's hard to justify spending that much money on a freaking phone.
I wanted to try iOS this year but I think I'll stick with my S10+ or I'll get a OnePlus 7t instead.
I hear ya. I can afford the pro max but I can’t justify the spend. It’s just not worth it. I did buy the 11 in 128 gb and it’s great but I miss oled and small bezels.
Screen, battery and the materials are reasons good enough for me as to why I've went with the Pro Max. Have had it for just over two weeks now, I don't know what buyer's remorse is with this phone. I am very critical with it, tho, and have found numerous issues with iOS. Apple, get your fucking shit together (although 13.2.2 has been much better than 13.2 right now)
No 3D Touch was the deal breaker for me. Went from iPhone 8+>XR and I didn’t think that I would even miss 3D Touch... well I was wrong. Sold my XR, even went back to a 6S+ temporarily until I could get my hands on a XS Max. Went to get the 11Pro and decided right there in the store that it wasn’t worth the price and upgrade coming from the XS Max. Battery life is great on the XS Max. Hopefully the 2020 iPhone will include 3D Touch and 90hz screens in the “Pro” models.
I’m considering an upgrade in the next couple of months -my network contract is up for renewal, so it’ll be a free upgrade. I currently have an iPhone X. My wife has just got a yellow iphone 11 and loves it.
I’m an Apple guy and had various phones since 2007 (the original one), MacBooks, iPads, etc, etc.
HOWEVER... it’s the software/eco system that is making me consider jumping to Android. I did have a couple of Android phones around 2014 and switched back to Apple.
Since iOS 13, I have been seeing numerous bugs and badly written software (well documented), along with the iCloud syncing issues and many more issues, that have been in the press/media.
I sure Android is not without it’s issues and I don’t like Google privacy, etc. On my iPhoneX I have moved all my Apps to Microsoft - Outlook, ToDo, Edge, Onedrive, etc and seen ZERO issues on my current phone. Yet when using iCloud, Apple mail, etc, I am seeing issues.
I see some advantages of going the Microsoft app/storage route - as they can be used on Apple devices and Android ones. I just wish Apple would go back to reliable software!
I have the iPhone Pro 256. My niece, who is also a photographer, asked my opinion on what she should get. I told her to get what I have. She went with the 64. For my brother, who isn't a media pro, I recommended the 11. They're both happy. Point being, if you know/care about the standout features of the Pro (Battery life, Oled Screen, Extra Lens) then that's what you should get. Otherwise, the 11 is best for everyone else.
I got the same model and configuration as you and I am not disappointed in the least. The battery is ridiculously amazing

iPad is the better solution next to your DSLR, easy to upload pictures online, some basic editing too....
@@lucasrem There's a time and place for it all. I've been shooting professionally for 20 years. I use Nikon D850's with quality glass and I know how to control light with professional results. So relax. I'm not suggesting that a phone will take the place of a Pro cam. That said, I love to have this tech in my pocket to compensate for when I don't have my professional rig in hand. Don't like it? don't buy it. Anyone who laughs at it, doesn't get it.

I got the 11 Pro. The Max version was too big for my purposes. The 11 would have served the job too, but I typically buy a phone every 3-4 years and wanted something that ticks all the boxes and the 11 was not it.

To be honest I get why consumers go for the Plus/Max/Pro Max models. It is the premium but what I had to stop falling into was, Will I ever use my phone without a case to appreciate the premium feel? No. Will I ever not carry my portable charger in my bag? No. Will I ever not utilize my charger in my car? No. Do most people use the 2x zoom enough for the price difference? No. We as people get caught up in the hype way too much. Now if you make your money based on your phone will that is considered an expense....cool. There are way too many people doing regular everyday things and is not worth the price difference. I came from having Plus models and last years Max model. I currently own the iPhone 11 and I have to say it was the BEST decision I’ve made. You don’t need ridiculous price tags to consider a device AMAZING #mintgreeniphone11

I got the 11 and its a great phone but... just a bit boring and not polished. But its $600 CDN more to buy and is it worth it? Wrestling with exchanging for the Max.
I switched from Android after many years of using it. I got the iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB and I'm in love with it. There are some UI things I don't like about iOS but overall it's a great phone. I'd recommend people to give it a try.
The Flicker of these oled screens is torture for my eyes. I don’t know how it doesn’t bother others. I had to stick with the 11 for the lcd. I wanted the Pro Max, but strains my eyes.
If you guys don’t believe me record your phone’s screen using another phone is slo-mo and watch the video back. It’s amazing it doesn’t give people seizures.

Depends on the Criteria, if they want Battery Pro Max; if they care about price 11
Brighter screen (for outdoor use or HDR viewing), larger more immersive display, larger possible storage, practically eternal (well, not really but if feels like it 😉) battery life, and telephoto (which I surprisingly use for more mundane things like label recording where - also surprisingly - Deep Fusion kicking in drastically improves things).
If you can comfortably afford it, and the size doesn't bother you go for the Pro Max. If not, the other 11s are great too.
If you're in the iPhone Upgrade Program, it makes the purchase much less painful.

This phone is absolutely beautiful but that notch is the reason I’m still with the XS max. I felt that it wasn’t worth the upgrade. Hopefully next year they will reduce the size of the notch and maybe introduce in screen Touch ID. Now that would definitely be worth an upgrade.

I went to the apple store with the intention of buying the purple iphone 11 and came out with the iphone 11 pro max in midnight green😍 absolutely no regrets. The battery lasts so long and cameras are 🔥
They should make a iPhone version of the Samsung Note phones with a mini apple pencil stylus. Would make the "pro" and "pro max" actually feel "pro". As an artist, the stylus with my Note 9 is amazing and is the main reason I wont switch. If apple did this, I'd switch to an iPhone in a heartbeat
I'm moving to my first iPhone (11 Pro) after having using nothing but Android most of my adult life. I'll be trading in my Note 8 as Samsung will not be upgrading a 2-yr old phone to latest OS. I'm fairly bitter.
I really like the Note but it's not a small phone and considering the Pro Max has almost the same measurements but about 20% heavier? I'm downsizing. But I still need that OLED of the 11 Pro.

Get apple care just in case “you may never know”
Storage don’t get the shitty 64gb, 256 sweet spot, 512gb you are winning
Depending on size I would go for the pro max I got big hands so yeah so yeah
Get a screen protector
Get a good case whether from tech21 or otter box
Better to be saved than sorry

The camera is a huge upgrade for sure. The battery life is amazing. And finally we get a fast charger in the box. This year's upgrade is way way better than last year's upgrade. Last year was a meh. Sure, there was a bigger version of Iphone X. But honestly that's the only thing they had to offer. Everything else was just little to no upgrade.

Truth is, I bought th Xs and quite frankly was appaled by the weak performance in low light. A while after I went back to Samsung and the cameras on my Galaxy S10+ are awesome - the iPhone only got near that now with the 11. I wonder about 2020 now...

I’ve bought the 11 pro, it’s excellent especially in camera and battery, plus stereo audio, but I doubt it’s worth $400 more than the 11, but I can’t say for sure because I haven’t used the 11. I’ll have to take the experts word for it.

I'd rather get the regular iPhone 11, why pay an extra 300 dollars on something, when you can just get something else that can be just as fast, and believe me, the iPhone 11 is just as fast as the pro max, sometimes even faster, the iPhone 11 pro Is too small, pro max is too big, the regular iPhone 11 Is just perfect.
Speed and size aren't the only things people look for.

lucas rem it’s very worth it. I don’t regret upgrading at all. It’s not the most feature packed out of all the flagships but in my opinion, it’s very well rounded in everything, specially the battery. I’ve had it for 3 weeks and the lowest my battery has been after a full day is only 75 percent

I should’ve Boone with the 11 Pro and not the max 512... having issues. Icons disappear storage is saying it full, when I had the iPhone X 256 GB everything I had on that phone is transferred to this one and therefore I should have at least close to 256 left of space. I’ve been through twitter chats with At&T and Apple. My ivloud backup storage of my iPhone X is 46.1 GB and Apple informed me it should fit into 512. But that’s not the case. I’m disappointed in myself. I knew better than to go with pro max. Still trying to figure out what’s next. I may have to go down to the Apple store... 💔 thanks
