- This is a new romhack of SMB2 which is meant to emulate Super Monkey Ball Deluxe. The biggest differences between this and ordinary deluxe is that it can be played on Dolphin/Wii and several stages have had their visuals changed to make them look more polished. This was played on a Wii using a GC controller.

This is something that I never ever knew I wanted, but I'm so happy that exists.
And it's made even better by the corrections it does, such as fixing the name mixup between Tub and Rising Inclines, as well as having SMB1 Space retain its original music instead of it being replaced with the Arctic theme.
Major kudos to the SMB2 hacking community.
This pack is extremely well made! I'm very curious to see how the IL times compare to the original game on some stages, just in case collision is slightly different.
Also my dreams of seeing an Ultimate TAS run is definitely a possibility now!
Another difference is that we have the wonderful rolling sound effect like we're supposed to have!

I always wanted an easy way for me to play Deluxe since I don’t have a PS2 or Xbox, and this mod looks super cool!
I like the addition of the *proper* extra music for the SMB1 extras. Kind of want to see if this will play off a burned MiniDVD on my modded GCN since the ISO is pretty well under 1.4GB.

OMG This is amazing! I played this romhack and it was great. I did notice when I tried to play the minigames they'll all crash the emulation. I am guessing that is an error on my end? :(
Nah that's how it's supposed to be unfortunately, the creators of this mod had to use up the party game stage slots in order to fit more stages than usual into this game.
I'd love to see the same thing done for crash twinsanity in tag team gamecube, since they share the same engine/moveset/etc.
The last few stages aren’t very beginner friendly.

Kinda. There are no 2 stages in story mode but stages from 1 are there.

hey scrap651, do you know a way i can get a save file for this hack that has everything unlocked? im hoping to play the ultimate difficulty (if it's in this hack) with my friends, but it'd be brutally difficult to get all the way through expert. Is the ultimate difficulty in this hack?

Can anyone tell me exactly which content is in "SMBDX in SMB2" as compared to 1 and 2 on their own? I'm not familiar with the levels or modes at all, so I don't know which content was swapped out. I tried the race mode in DX and it seemed to be completely bugged out with the wrong level data.
All of the new stages that Deluxe added. I think the only stage removed was 2's Gamecube
It has all stages from 1 and 2, but the party games remain the same as in 2. They may add the party games from 1 soon.
I didn’t notice that you could play the deluxe on the GameCube. Usually I play my deluxe on Xbox.
You can now, since they've finished this mod. But the game was never originally available for GameCube.
