Check here for more details: issuetracker.google.com/issues/128554616 If you want to better understand what "targeting" an API means, check here: tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/target_api.html .Can you please install this app on your phone and then try the "Wifi" action again from Tasker? Make sure to exempt the "Tasker Settings" app (not only Tasker itself) from battery optimization (tasker.joaoapps.com/userguide/en/faqs/faq-problem.html#00) so that Tasker can call it in the background. Even if you already have the "Tasker Settings" app installed, you need to install this new version for the Wifi toggle to work. I can't upload this version to Google Play because it targets API 21 (which is why toggling Wifi still works with it) and Google only allows apps that target API 29 and over. Note: your phone may warn you that this app is built for an older Android version. This Example is not working on my device even though I already installed (tasker_permissions_portable) which successfully fixed the google assistant issue that I told you about before. When I tried this example, it kept telling me (missing permission: ADB Wifi access) and that I should grant it and took me to page (ADB wifi permission) which I already installed, and gave me green colors ... how can I fix this issue?
Could this allow us to toggle our mobile hotspots as well? I've had some convoluted system where when my wife texts me the keyword, it swipes and taps the different areas on my screen to hit the switch and enable the hotspot. It'd be nice to streamline the whole thing.

I can’t work out how to kill or close an app. I want to close Samsung music on s10 I have adb wifi and from the internet from what I’ve found is suggesting is [ Command:am force-stop com.sec.android.app.music Host: Port: Timeout (Seconds):1 Enable Debugging (Check Help):Off ] that’s the I’d from google play. When I test it tasker seams to work [green light goes on than off next to the task] but the app won’t close. I’m new and I’ve been trying for hours searching and I can’t get it. Please help in layman’s terms. Thanks.
Hi. That should work. Can you clarify what you mean by "app won't close"? If you can see the green light how can you be sure that the app wasn't killed since you're inside Tasker?
@@AutoApps Hi there. Thanks for the reply. App close means the app won’t kill or completely close or exit. After I run tasker I click on the center button ||| at the bottom of the phone and it shows apps that are open like tasker and samsung music is still open. That’s how I know after I run tasker the app is still open. The only way to get rid of the app is to swipe the app up to fully close or kill the app. Tasker can launch the app no issues there’s but it won’t close or kill if that’s what you call it.
@@js-amg When you kill the app with an app like Tasker it won't go away from that screen because it was not killed by the system :) It'll still stop running in the background though.

Yes, that one doesn't use ADB Wifi in the background yet, but you can already kill an app by using the example task I linked to in the video description :)
I imported the adb wifi project but didn't get the test task, also while using adb to give permission of write security settings i am getting java.lang.securityException. I just bought tasker from playstore.
@@joaomgcd here's what i did, first i imported the project from the link ( test task was not there in the project) then i tried to run task disable TH-cam then it told me it needed permission from adb of write security settings so i opened adb and then i got this error i.imgur.com/TWZbmCy.png
EDIT: Never mind I plugged my phone again and this time it works after unplugging. That's an insane update! It' like I rooted my phone but it's stock! When i disconnect from the pc, it stopps working. I cant find the option "adb on charge only" that supposedly solves this on my miui11 phone. Any guesses?

@@js-amg The part that "doesn't go away" is just UI. :) In reality the app did close. Simply don't pay attention to the UI and you're good to go 😅

Does the kill app action require root? I tried killing waze when k get to work, but running the action does nothing, it keeps running

I don't have a Miui11 device myself, I only got that info from users that have it. Is it not in Developer Settings?
