Another bit of evidence that the Guardians of Earth would have God ki is the fact that Kami means “God” or “Deity”. He’s the God of Earth. It’s never been stated if any other planets have Gods but it’s plausible that at least some planets would. Namek and Planet Vegeta seemed to not have Guardians since they didn’t step in to defend their planet which seems odd but maybe it’s only certain planets that have this. Earth seems to be somewhat special even in Dragonball.

To add more evidence to your claim of the Guardians of the Earth having God ki, in Dragon Ball Super there is a scene where Dende is the first and only being to recognize Bures as a God. In Dragon Ball lore I believe only God's can visually see God ki. Also, Earth is special because it has a pure heart!
I wonder if Kami was the strongest Kami or if there were stronger ones in the past. Much later in the other world, King Kai introduces a man who he says most of Earth’s legends were based off of. Apparently he’s talking about Hercules or someone. I don’t remember if he states his name. It was the bulky blonde haired guy who is definitely a human. Perhaps the only human who made it that far. The strongest human ever perhaps. There should be what if stories about him. But if someone from Earth could be that strong..then maybe the previous Guardians were really strong too.
I was talking with my brother the other day about how they would be portrayed had TFS actually covered the Garlic Jr. Saga. He said that this conversation would probably happen: Dead guardian #1: OH NO, IT’S MR. POPO!!! Kami: Mr. Popo, how did the previous guardians die? Mr. Popo: Rule 6. Kami: What did they break? Mr. Popo: My trust.
Maybe they were mad because kamisama for creating piccolo in the first place, therfore disrupting the balance of mortals development 🤔 i mean if piccolo didn't invaded a lot of muten roshi peers would have survives therfore more ki users humans would've been in a live in dragon ball
I watched this video while washing dishes, there is always time for expanding dbz knowledge. great video. kami had to give up to his past as most of us can start a new life. everyday as long as we live we have the opportunity to improve ourselves, lets be thankful for that and thank you for the video.
The graves of EarthGods slain by demon king piccolo-all resembling humans, supposedly whom dedicated their lives to being pure and to guard earth's wellbeing. This just makes me wonder earths history before the birth and arrival of kakarot. We know DBZ's earth is different but when and how did it diverge from something similar to our TL?

The only religious material I could find in Dragon Ball Lore is Buddism, therefor, The previous Guardian God of Earth was Buddha and might be the same person Beerus referred to as the mortal that was stronger than the gods. In the journey to the West, Buddha is pretty much the strongest character. I wouldn't be surprised if Krillin became his disciple since he is based on the monk Tripitaka, the same monk that owned Wukong's golden band of punishment. Humans might be getting a power up soon.

Perhaps the ghost guardians also didn't approve of kami just like one before him. So thats why they appeared menacing
