Tail swishing constantly = constant discomfort and/or pain. She rides w a complete western pkeasyre seat. Sits on her back jeans pockets. Its not bad... its just how she rides. Now, the question is... is it correct? Is the tail swishing, constantly, acceptable? Is it over collection? Is this "classical dressage"? Or is it better than what we kno "classical dressage" to be ? Is this a new high standard? Or is it a fad? Does it further training? Further competitive wins? Is it in the horse's best interests? Maybe its time we introduce levels... levels of bits? Maybe u have to prepass tests w each horse to prove that horse and u - are okay to compete w the bits uve chosen?
At 2:16 the walk is effectively cut out. Is that not of equal importance as the other movements in the test? I would have been just as interested in hearing the comments regarding the walk. A small critique of the critique, if I may.... there's no mention of the horses emotional frame of mind (relaxed or not, happy in his work or not) during the test. And, I think this is symptomatic of FEI dressage as a whole; i.e., it's all about technical performance, not whether the horse is actually getting something out of the exercise. Remember, dressage means both the physical *and* mental development of the horse. Not trolling, just saying.

I didn't really get what else she should improve to get 100%, or let's say 90. Judges only use 6, 7 and 8, maybe 9. A "mediocre" ride will get a 70%. And it does not reflect the real difference.

Horse in true self carriage, no force required. Look at her back just behind the saddle and how level it is. A lot of the horses trained using rollkur are completely hollow there, it's a dead giveaway.
No heavy hands on the bridle, no painful bits, she's the acme of dressage achievement and she's absolutely kind to her horses. Love her.
