    I'm sure the nerves of being in the 4th round for the first time in his career contributed to the 6-0 6-0 score of the 1st 2 sets.
    Despite his height of 5'7, he has maximized all the tennis talent he was given and is now Asian no 1 player.
    Today I can say that I am a fan.
    So proud of you Yoshi! 👏

      he has a great footwork, backhand but terrible serve and forehand, so he is not maximized his talent (Shwartzman and Nishikori are also short players). I like his tennis but there are a lot of work to do for him.

    It looks like Nishioka has such a low power, high spin forehand that when he hits it cross court to Khachanov's backhand, Karen is just taking it early and taking control of the point.

    6:56 it’s like I could hear Kachanov ask “are you not entertained?”
    This match was absolutely amazing. The quality of the rallies was top notch. Hope to see these two guys play more matches on the future

    Both players seem like such genuinely kind people! Excited for both of these fellas! Nishioka is quickly turning into one of my personal favourite players!

    • @bluengrey1
      @bluengrey1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you watch many Nishioka matches? He's a whiny, petulant brat who berates umpires for doing their jobs correctly and constantly acts like the world is out to get him. He's the male version of Putintseva.

    • @jakeharvey3582
      @jakeharvey3582 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bluengrey1 Hmm yeah I definitely haven't seen that from him on the court, and in his press conferences he seems quite warm! I appreciate your sweet comment though - I'm glad you're so fond of him and just couldn't keep yourself from saying so!

    • @bluengrey1
      @bluengrey1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jakeharvey3582 Ok, I admit I only know his on-court behavior. Maybe he's like Andy Murray who can be a jerk on the court but by all accounts is a sweetheart off of it. But if you're a big enough fan of the guy that you're watching his pressers you MUST of seen some of what I'm talking about. You didn't see him berate an umpire for correctly overruling an out call during the Korda match a couple of weeks ago? You didn't see him complaining to an umpire for mispronouncing his first name telling him if he can't get it right just call him "Yoshi?" You didn't see him argue for an entire changeover about a mark on clay court that ended with him taking a photo of it? His body language on close calls and net cords that don't go his way is terrible - like he thinks they're happening because the universe is out to get him. I don't watch that much of him but I've seen these things. I don't know how you could have missed them.

    • @jakeharvey3582
      @jakeharvey3582 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bluengrey1 Haha first off, I ought to apologize for my rude comment. I shouldn't have responded so rashly to your comments. Thank you for your grace in not returning the aggression haha. But actually no, I haven't seen that side of him! Granted, I watch mostly highlights so don't always see every point and in between points. I have only seen a few of Nishioka's matches so far, during all of which he seemed very cool-headed and authentic, and I caught one of his press conferences last week. I'll keep my eye out for this, though!

    • @bluengrey1
      @bluengrey1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jakeharvey3582 No worries, I wasn't offended at all. Just out of curiosity: where are you from? You spell "favourite" like a Brit and "apologize" like an American. Canadian maybe? You don't have to answer btw if you don't want.
