thanks a lot for your feedback fatima! 😊👍🙏 the only german videos are aimed for students for b1 level and higher and we try to use the vocabulary for this level as well. maybe one day we can add proper english subtitles... but a1and a2 videos will still have the english translation as normal... 😉

This is a B1 level topic. Not suited for beginners. As a beginner you should focus on A1 and A2 level videos. Go trough our playlists we have for each level. 👍

I have a hard time figuring out which case it is for each sentence if it's not too obvious. Like the examples you gave are pretty straightforward but this one for example: "Wo ist das Auto? Ich habe nach dem Auto früher gefragt" is this DAT or NOM? It's probabily a dumb question since the verb is sein, so it would be nominativ but the 'wo' and the 'dem Auto' are messing me up, help!!
Wo ist das Auto? Auto = Subjekt - Nominativ Ich habe nach dem Auto gefragt. Ich = Subjekt - Nominativ Auto = Objekt - Dativ because "nach" requires Dative case. Before you try to figure out the cases, you can check for the subjuct first. The subject is always in nominative case. In your second sentence here you need to apply dative case because the preposition "nach" always requires Dative case. I hope it helps a bit. 🙂👍🙏

Yes, the most common factors are verbs or prepositions, but there are also other factors. It all follows the normal rules of case usage. I am learning German thanks to your videos and I love them. However, it is the first time I see a 'No English' video :( I found a little bit early to remove english explanations. Please add English explanations as you have done so far...
We know it's challenging to get used to german explanation without English 😑 and maybe we make another video about this topic with English included. However it also depends on which level you are in when you watch this video. If you are A2 or A1, this video is of course too difficult to understand. It's made for B1 and at this level learners should be able to understand it quite easily. 🙂👍🙏
At 2:06 the teacher says that „ihr“ is the feminin relative pronoun in dative. Shouldn’t it be „der“? As he notes at 1:54, „ihr“ is the personal pronoun, not the relative pronoun. And at 2:54, it is noted that „der“ is the feminin relative pronoun in dative.
Yes that's a mixup that happened during recording. 🥴 "ihr" is the personal pronoun as marked on the table. And "der" is the relative pronoun. Unfortunately TH-cam doesn't give any tools at hand to correct mistakes once a video is uploaded. 🙂👍🙏

I think you simply mixed up the personal pronouns in dative case. 🙂 They are shown in the table at the beginning of the video together with the article and relative pronouns... All in Dative: Maskulin and Neutral: ihm Feminin: ihr Plural: ihnen Nachbarin is a woman (feminin), and Dativ feminin is "ihr", not "ihm". 🙂🙏

We made this video in German without any English with the intention to give B1 level learners a chance to practice their listening skills.🙂🙏 As you said yourself, you are still a beginner 🙂🇩🇪 but once you have finished your A2 level and start with B1 you will be able to understand this video easily. I will turn on the automatically generated subtitles that TH-cam provides. They are not perfect, but maybe they help a bit. However I still recommend to learn the grammar in the right order step by step. Hi, the previous videos which explains about the cases if relativ satz in nominative and akkusativ were easy to follow , but this one didnt find so...... If you could english while explaing concepts, then it will be helpful for students who are not so familiar with German. Hi, the reason why you find it hard to follow is because it's a B1 level video, that is not meant for beginners. 🙂🙏 The other two Relative clauses videos in Accusative and Nominative are very basic A2 level topics which we still explain in English. But some of our higher level videos we intentionally made in German only to give students the chance to practice their listing skills while watching a grammar video. All words that are used including the example sentences are considered ready at this level. 🙏🇩🇪🙂 Once you reach the level which this topic is made for you'll see that the sentences aren't digit for that level at all.

Ich verstehe das aber beim sprechen ...ist ein andere Geschichte😪 es kommt nicht einfach beim sprechen und hat viel Niemand hat die Geduld, uns zuzuhören, während wir überlegen, welcher Fall und welches verb
Ja, das ist leider oft so. Deshalb solltest du beim Sprechen nicht zu viel über die Fälle nachdenken. Man versteht deinen Satz meist auch, wenn es nicht der richtige Fall ist. 🙂🙏👍

I think you simply mixed up the personal pronouns in dative case. 🙂
They are shown in the table at the beginning of the video together with the article and relative pronouns... All in Dative:
Maskulin and Neutral: ihm
Feminin: ihr
Plural: ihnen
Nachbarin is a woman (feminin), and Dativ feminin is "ihr", not "ihm".

hi juan, no need for you to watch this video. at least not yet... 😉 this is B1 level (you will always see the level on the thumbnail) as a beginner focus on the a1 level videos and then a2... it doesnt make sense to watch/learn B1 topics. really first get your a1 and a2 level right. then you will also understand the b1 level videos. 💪💪💪

We know it's hard to get used to 100% German videos. The reason why we created this video without English is based on the level, which is B1.1. (Luzi's video about this topic is A2.1.) The idea is to help students to improve their listening skills, as listening will be the most difficult part in proficiaency exams B1 and upwards. The sooner students start to practice their listening skills the easier it will be later on. 🇩🇪🙏👍

This grammar topic is part of B1. We made this video in German without any English with the intention to give B1 level learners a chance to practice their listening skills.🙂🙏
As you said yourself, you are still a beginner 🙂🇩🇪 but once you have finished your A2 level and start with B1 you will be able to understand this video easily. I will turn on the automatically generated subtitles that TH-cam provides. They are not perfect, but maybe they help a bit.
However I still recommend to learn the grammar in the right order step by step. You can use our playlists for A1.1. and once you finished it, proceed to A1.2 and so on. 🙂

Hi, the previous videos which explains about the cases if relativ satz in nominative and akkusativ were easy to follow , but this one didnt find so...... If you could english while explaing concepts, then it will be helpful for students who are not so familiar with German. Also, I have a huble request that kindly use simple sentances which are easy to follw ,while giving examples , because foreign students may find it difficult ,,,
Hi, the reason why you find it hard to follow is because it's a B1 level video, that is not meant for beginners. 🙂🙏
The other two Relative clauses videos in Accusative and Nominative are very basic A2 level topics which we still explain in English.
But some of our higher level videos we intentionally made in German only to give students the chance to practice their listing skills while watching a grammar video. All words that are used including the example sentences are considered ready at this level. 🙏🇩🇪🙂
Once you reach the level which this topic is made for you'll see that the sentences aren't digit for that level at all.

...ist ein andere Geschichte😪 es kommt nicht einfach beim sprechen und hat viel Niemand hat die Geduld, uns zuzuhören, während wir überlegen, welcher Fall und welches verb
Ja, das ist leider oft so. Deshalb solltest du beim Sprechen nicht zu viel über die Fälle nachdenken. Man versteht deinen Satz meist auch, wenn es nicht der richtige Fall ist. 🙂🙏👍
