Great video! Compressor insulation test (phase to earth) should be done with a high voltage insulation test meter (Megger) as the multimeter only puts out a few volts.
Good information on how to test both the compressor and fans. However, I am not so sure they are three phase. I'm thinking they are single phase 220 voltage, hence three terminals... IDK
Thank you for the video! Question: What coolant can be used to prevent or minimize the release of climate-harming outputs? Or have most mini-splits phased it out? If not, how bad is it to replace the coolant on our own?
Most all mini splits these days are using r32 I would strongly recommend engaging a qualified and trained technician to carry out works on your ac system, refrigerant is incredibly low temperature and mis handling could result in serious injury/burns or worse, they are asphyxiants and could suffocate if release in an enclosed space Also they are now midly flammable…so theres that
Did i miss something? Is the compressor a 3 phase compressor? And what do the letters stand for on the terminals? It must not be comman, start and run. Thanks
Mini splits are the way to go. Mitsubishi, seer ratings are fantastic, silent inside and out. Control, and heating and cooling..I've saved a lot over tge 15 years not having to fire up oil forced air furnace..5 minisplits keep me warm and cool as needed,in silence
@@cengeb i would have to agree. most ppl have the idea that these systems are only good for small homes, small office units, mobile homes, etc but honestly you can use them in 4000 sq ft homes that are two stories.
@@P9rkour90 Mini Sp0lits keep getting better and better. The rest of the world uses them by the millions, only the U.S. is behind the times. Mitsubishi teamed up with Trane, is it for marketing, expand Mitsubishi market? Or did Trane need Mitsubishi technology...either way it shows minisplits are growing here in the U.S. Which is a good thing
Nice video! Troubleshooting isn't the most fun, but luckily we have guides like these!
Very true!
Thank you so much sir please continue only mini inverter ac video 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

refrigerant*** and tbh all of them are toxic and have no difference with the types of refrigerant that is used for mini split systems.

check out my video titled how to recover vacuum and charge a mini split
Great video. Thank you for sharing

Yes it's a three phase compressor
What would cause a heat pump to work fine in cool but blow the low voltage fuse in heat mode?
good job bro
And sir please share pdf mini split ac theory and troubleshooting
Excellent work Tad! Thanks! #giveaway
Daikin tech makes you use a megger
Don't really take on a lot of mini splits as Im not a fan of them but thank you for the knowledge.

4 people thumbed you down - must be losers or failed hvac techs lol
