Man, you guys are awesome, almost like a ballet where each one knows the others step, hardly any words spoken , just work to be done, each seeing the bigger picture and not trying to do less than his partner. Also like the fact that the steady flowing hose is almost like a pace setter, having to "keep up with the flow".
Good job, there are times when I have had to seal in my asphalt career. When I first started is when I learned. Now I'm an operator on a awesome crew at a great company. good job guys hell of a hose .
You guys do a incredible job, great results, if I could afford it I think I would do concrete, buddy's Harley fell over in his driveway, hot asphalt. Keep up the awesome job
I like what you do with the wand. In my old crew we would have backed the truck up and layed out a needed amount of sealer, the move the truck up. Big jobs and commercial lots we had a spreader bar we attached simple pvc pipe with holes. All you had to do was drive slowly and adjust the valve to get the right flow. Plus the owner used an old riding mower with a bracket set up for brushes. 2 of us edging and the mower spreading, plus the mower set up would do the finishing. I'm curious what's your mix? We used a 50/50 mix. We bought at 70% pure and mixed water in. And we were still better than the high priced "pros", and cheaper. They used 5-10 member crews, us 3. One would put the sealer out, another to edge, and the third to comb it out. We did good work, and came with a 2 year guarantee. And only had 1 guy got mad at how quickly we did the job. We showed up, cleaned, hot tared the cracks, sealed. Was done in less than an hour, simple driveway. But the guy was refusing to pay, because we did it too quickly. It's not rocket science, what was he expecting a 3 day expedition. I just didn't get what he was so upset about. But I left the invoice in his mailbox and passed it to the owner. Some people.
Your work is so much better than the guy I hired for a parking lot. And if you don't take 2 months to finish and ask for payment before you paint the lines, you're a lot more professional too lol. Love your videos!
I'm a meditator - approximately 1 hour per day. I'm pretty sure watching these videos is very close to achieving a full meditation. It's not very much different. I was soooooo relaxed and then the video ended without the last 5 feet of drive way finished! Its like having one piece left to finish a jigsaw puzzle but you cant find it. Cool video though
Sorry about that Dianna. My GoPro died just before we finished that job. Don't worry though, everything went smoothly and the client was happy. My new and IMPROVED videos will be out in May.
You need to put spikes on the bottom of those boots or put on some sort of sport cleats but the cleats have to be thin like the metal cleats not plastic. The reason for this is so you dont get foot prints in the sealer and you dont need to squeegee the foot prints out. I been doing this for 20+ years.
@@SEALCOATINGISLIFE ... I haven sealed a driveway in the longest time. I use to do driveways when I was in Connecticut but now I'm in Central Florida, there are no asphalt driveways here. I do parking lots and we spray them.
This looks like a fun job.. not lying either. I wanna get working again and this might be a solution. I'm overweight and honestly don't feel like working hard just doing a good job. I just don't have a vehicle so it sucks.
How much should it cost to get a driveway done like this and is the product you are using better than the stuff that they sale at the big box stores which has sand or something in it and takes like twenty five four gallon buckets to squeegee on?
It depends. Our product is coal-tar, water and sand mixed together. Some of the Home Depot products are good but hard to apply without $100's worth of equipment. As far as pricing, I Only get into that on my Patreon page.
Its always brown when it comes out of the wand. It looks different in different light but its always brown when applied. Once it dries it will be jet black.

Squeegees usually leave lines, that's why we try to brush in all 4 directions. Ive found that the best way to get a uniform result.
