I have a couple gordion models and they are very good shotguns but im not a fan of a flat rib, I prefer a raised rib on a shotgun but to each his own

I 100% agree! I prefer a stepped up rib to keep my cheekbone off the comb. Maybe if I sent some more emails to Retay they’ll actually listen. Which other models do you have? And what are your thoughts? I thought about getting the Antalaya looks pretty sweet. I’d love to get my hands on one.

Yeah for me the raised rib is the way to go. I have a several benelli m2 models (20ga and 12ga) a Benelli Ultralight 12ga 24" and. Franchi Affinity 20ga all of these models have the raised ribs 👍

Look in the manual, the book sais 1200fps 3drams equ or higher, it has nothing to do with being Winchester shells

Hey Kevin, yeah I read that too. I always liked the challenger rounds myself. Until recently I have only been able to purchase challenger rounds at 1200 ft per second until recently when my order came in the challenger rounds were 1145 ft per second. I did not buy them as they weren’t what I ordered. I have never found faster federal or Winchester shells or I would happily buy them.
How do you like your Retay? I haven’t come in contact with anyone who has one. So many advantages. Let me know your thoughts!!

That “no click” design is called “inertia plus”.

Awesome thank you! It’s a pretty awesome shotgun. It’s my wife’s favourite with the target loads. I like it too, I just wish it had the higher vented sight rail. What are your thoughts?

My mm 20ga have the same issues if I use a shell over 1500fps. No issues with 1450fps load.

My issue was resolved after cleaning the firing pin and spring.

Wow that’s odd. I’m sorry you’re having issues. I’ve put about 3000 rounds through my Retay with no cycling issues. That’s not cool. How many rounds do you have through it? I always ask, are you holding it tight into your shoulder? You could try cleaning it and running some 3 inch heavy loads through it to beat up the action a little bit more.
Or take it back to the dealer to have them look at it.
I bought this one and gave it to my wife. It has a narrow fore grip and it’s light. She seems to like it. The action is so clean.
I am however having your same issues with other shotguns like the Breda 930I that I’m having trouble fixing. I think I may run some 2 3/4 1200-1300 ft per second through it.
Let me know how you make out?
      Cheers

Get disgraced when the rifle doesn't evacuate the empty cartridge.
Are used a Turkish to English app to translate this .
This bothers me as well when the shell doesn’t eject. The only thing I can suggest is giving a thorough cleaning and make sure you’re using shotgun ammunition with a minimum of 1200 ft./s three DRAM as indicated in the owners manual. I have several shotguns that have this requirement.
